I had so much trouble with my Fitech kit and tach issues that i returned it and am running holley sniper, im glad to see you built your kit the same way i was thinking about for my ramcharger
Another cheap and easy fix that takes the guesswork out is to put a Normally Closed relay on the horn wire, and trigger it off the Reverse light. I can live with the flashing lights....
What turbo did you use? Did it have much lag? I am in the process of doing a turbo 318. I was thinking of using the GT45 Turbo from ebay. Thanks for the video
The 6875 DNAmotoring GT45 is perfectly suited for a 5.2-5.9L wanting 500-700hp.....👍 You could use factory manifolds with v-bands and 2.5" crush bent exhaust tubing/hotside.
damn that things bogging bad. needs some workin on. i had a 200x same model (pre-1986 ? ) my friend with the square tubing had the newer one, mine was still faster. presistent carb adjustment, i believe mine had a cam. i just modded the silencer on stock exhaust. my second 200x sucked like this one. and the 3rd. well 3 motors 2 bikes? 3 motors 1 bike? i dont even remember any more. maybe it was 4 motors. regardless. you get the motor setup right and itll be twice as fast. but dont forget something with this big bubble tires, your feeling the more midrange and low end , but some 18" or 20" flat tires on the back and go adjust the sprockets and , bigger carb always for 4 strokes. run lean not rich. smell oil you got bad valves or the carb is running rich. if it came from another state, and its 2 stroke the barometric pressure effects it - 4-strokes it effects it but not as much but its still a thing to consider. right off the bat i would take the clip off the needle and drop it to the leanest. come back and tell me how that worked for you. actually this video is a few years old, tell me whats up with it now ?
I enjoyed your video, it was direct and to the point. Many RU-vidrs are full of themselves and profanity, makes it hard to show to your children. Keep up the good work!
My great grandfather is the reason for that he put the truck in park to check his trailer and it slipped into reverse without any warning he went to dodge after that told them what happened and a month later they called him to come back to the dealership and they installed that feature before him they never sounded the horn
Is there any way to just delete the recall? My truck didn’t do that until I took it to the dealer for some service and they just installed that. I never had a problem before.
You can't uninstall the recall software. It actually upgraded part number recognition into the control module, and cant be changed. I have seen this done, where you can wire in a relay to activate when reverse is engaged, and then using 87A relay output, you can effectively open the door switch circuit automatically.
man i love the truck i got a 83 ramcharger with a 318 thats bored to a 321. rpm heads victor and a 750. personal suggestion for you would be a 500 lift cam with some duration. it will wake it up like no other
eBay gt45 is sized much better for that application. The turbo you have probably runs a 2:1 back pressure, even at 8lbs. If you are injected then you shouldn’t have a mechanical fuel pump. Run a block off plate and run your oil return there.
The oil return in the fuel pump hole is a good idea! I hadn’t thought of that. I couldn’t find any good resources for turbo sizing so i guessed. When it was driving, i had a hunch that it has excessive exhaust back pressure but i wasn’t sure. Thanks for the input
@@BackinHaction a T4 flange will work well in the 400-900Hp range and should have a 1.0-1.25AR for most 300+ cu.in. engines. a 66mm compressor inducer is good for around 600hp, a 75mm 7-900, 80mm 1,000, 88mm 1,200-1,400. Basic guidelines. I had a GT45/1.05 for my 360 and have since sold it as I am stroking to a 408 and switched to a 7582 1.25 T4. That GT45 or a T04Z would also work well for guys with a 318 looking for 600hp.
I was like what the hell I was trying to back up and it honks not sure if I had the door open but I’ll check it out I’m new to this truck and do tow so I’m sure sometimes I do open the door thanks for the vid
