Just bought one of these 12” clamps and was going to do this exact thing… couldn’t swallow the $110 bill they want for this clamp with their jaws. Thanks for the video!
@@robertd6925 I do. I used it the other day. Here’s a video I did mowing on a driveway with it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BMyoNLV0fMY.htmlsi=r7pKCAr2w39dlucm Thanks for watching! 👍🏻
I recently bought a 1996 4700. On the way to my house about 100 miles from where I bought it, it started going slower & slower! LOL! As I was bout 8 miles from my destination it wouldn’t go over 15 MPH. By that time it was 2:30AM. I parked it in the driveway. I changed the fuel filter, & removed the screen filter. The screen filter was pugged solid with rust & dirt. I drained the fuel tanks, again put fresh fuel in them. So far it hasn’t got fuel to the injectors. When I put the new fuel filter in I filled it with ATF. Like you said I had to fiddle with other stuff. My problem is I’m 60 miles from it. In a few days I’ll go back & try to bleed the system again! LOL! Watching you was relaxing compared to crawling under & around the truck! Hey, never give up! I’m glad you got it started! 😅 That was fun!!!
@@EnriqueReyesJrREALTOR oh no! I hope you get it going without too much trouble! Sounds like you will be crawling around and under yours soon too! 🤣 Hopefully with what you’ve done already, the rest will be a piece of cake. Let us know when you get her back going! Good luck! 👍🏻
Interesting. I have a 4 foot bush hog from Construction Attachments, made here in North Carolina. It was 11k dollars with installation and haul bill to/from the dealer. If anyone hasn't looked up agrotk, that unit is 1800 dollars. Here is mine in action: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IRBW1LUphTM.htmlsi=AOW0YvupCNFiRdWI How was installation for you? Did it come with a mount for your (also my) excavator?
@@AnomadAlaska your cutter is probably a really good quality mower. You’re right. I can’t remember exactly but I believe I gave somewhere around the 1800 dollar mark. Install wasn’t too bad. I made the quick couple mount for mine. It came with a pin on mount for a cat 308 excavator I believe.
I have same agrotk flail mower. You see them at a lot of auctions here in PA. I made a video of my purchase : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-anbFtdz91ug.htmlsi=lLkG0gGIQMDYAMl3 I actually bought 2. I am currently making a video of my custom mount for the bobcat xchange system to adapt to this flail mower. Great video.
@@happytrailsfarm I wish I had seen the black ones before I bought the blue one! That looks nice! I’ll be waiting for the bobcat mount video! Thanks! 👍🏻
@@MountainMindset Yes. My unit is very high quality. Heavy duty is an understatement. I bought when supply chain was weak. I'll do a review video of it and show it in use more.
The heavier version of this Daytona does not have front wheels.... it has a round bar w/bearings that takes that job..... Pipe spans inside between the jack's sidewalls. Ifff there is enough clearance behind it..... maybe you can take that idea. Or since you can weld...... make a bracket to mount a center wheel on the axle? (bottom of this wheel same plane as the the outside wheel's bottom or a millimeter higher). This third wheel would support the axle tube in the center.
I just installed this same hitch on my 24 3500 yesterday & my hole is to far forward too. Threaded hole by the brake lines was bad which was the last bolt I installed so I had to run a tap through it.
@@TheJohndeere466 I was almost able to buy one with a factory 6V53 in it. Seen it years ago on marketplace somewhere in North Carolina I believe but it sold before I got a chance to message the seller and get down there. That was the only one I had ever seen. Nice truck you had!!!
@@MountainMindset I wish I still had it. Originally it was a single axle semi but it was converted to a dump truck. I used to put 10 ton on it and then it weighed about 33,000
@@jderou yes it’s sandstone. It has really bad impressed me with its performance! I have a few other videos of me using it in limestone and it’s impressive there too!
I had the same worries drilling the larger hole and it wobbled the hole out similar to yours, if I do it again I’ll drill a hole in some wood first then use that as a stable guide to drill in the bed nice install…
My 22 just did it bought it at 76k 2 weeks ago and was covered under warranty they stated they are replacing the clutches and snap ring and what ever else is in the updated parts
@@adrienst.raymond6801 I’m not positive that it is a 7.3. I was only going by the head bolt size which is 1/2”. I’m not sure how accurate that is for telling what engine it is though. Do you know any other way to tell?
@@MountainMindset I know the bore of the 7.3 cylinders is 4.11”, I think you’re right with the 1/2” head bolts though. I know the 6.9 had smaller head bolts and that was the weak point for those engines, I just don’t remember the exact size. 87-88 was the transition from bullnose to brick nose as far as I know for the obs fords, I’m just not if that was also the transition from 6.9 to 7.3
@@adrienst.raymond6801 I should have measured the bore while I had it apart! I didn’t even think about it. 🤦♂️ Lol. 7/16” is the 6.9 head bolt size if I’m not mistaken. Seems like 87 or 88 was the 6.9 to 7.3 transition too. I’m not sure either. 👍🏻
@@Morencyandsons oh yea! I finally found a welding gas supply shop that agreed to fill it after I went to a hydraulic supply place and pieced an adapter together so the welding supply shop could hook it up. Finally I had a spare argon tank that I exchanged for a nitrogen tank and used the adapter myself at home. So far so good. Lol. It’s not easy for sure!
@@Morencyandsons for sure! Hopefully they can piece something together for you. If not, the hydraulic fitting place had lots of thread styles and sizes to piece an adapter together. Good luck! 👍🏻
I ordered the Rut Brush Eliminator for my kx057-5. I think flails are best on grasses and not ideal for the kind of mulching you're demonstrating even though they can do it. The Rut doesn't require a case drain for this model. Nice looking property!
@@kylegershman4668 Nice machine and cutter! The Rut Mfg. cutters are really nice! I spoke with Rut before I bought this Chinese mower and they were super nice but had something like a 6 week lead time when I was looking at buying years ago. I bought this mower just to try out for the price. I agree I’m a little rough on it but I’m really trying to see how it holds up and if it breaks, I’ll probably end up with a Rut. Lol. Thanks! We love it here! 👍🏻
@@kylegershman4668 I love it down there! I worked in Bristol a few years back. Thats awesome on the wait times now. I’ll probably have one in the next few years. Lol. We have been looking at property in middle and East Tennessee.
@@robbief5517 I’m not really sure. I have a shop manual for the dozer but I never even looked at it. Lol. I’ll try and find it in there and see what it says. I probably should have gotten new bolts too. Thanks for the input! 👍🏻
@@parkerbirch5286 I’ve gotten that on a couple of videos lately. Any suggestions on what type of music would be better suited to these videos? I appreciate the input!
@@dwightcarlson7136 Good to know! I do too. I’ll try and incorporate more of those sounds and less of the music when possible. Thanks for the suggestion! 👍🏻
Where you at? I'm thinking Western Kentucky or West Virginia. Just north of me. Same Appalachian folk judging by the accent and scenery. RU-vid algorithm has us pretty well dialed in - LOL. I'm in North Carolina. I would have used my tractor and a box blade on that job.
@@AnomadAlaska I’m in Eastern Kentucky. Not too different! It knows for sure! Lol! I’d like to have a box blade with a top and tilt hydraulic kit on my tractor. It would have helped a lot.
@@MountainMindset I got my east and west mixed up, duh! Same people from way back, just different states. My Mama's side were from Kentucky and Tennessee. Moved down here for land after the "war of northern aggression". I would love a top and tilt kit. I'll just keep hoppin' on and off the tractor with a wrench till I can afford one.
@@AnomadAlaska Easy done! We’re probably related way, way back! Lol. I can’t bring myself to spend that kind of money on the kit either. It would save a lot of work for sure!
Nice job. I have a KX-57. How do you clean your machine to prevent moving that nasty kudzu to another property? I clean my tracks with a spade and a broom and blow it all within an inch of its life with a backpack blower. Some guys just down the road here cleared 6 acres a few years ago and now it is wall to wall kudzu. No other Kudzu around, so they totally brought it in. If that property was pretty it would bring 500k. Very desirable location. They can't sell it to save their lives. I could see getting sued over that.
I wanted the 57 but could never find one at the time. I never really thought about spreading it. I just pulled the loose vines off of the machine and went on my merry way. Lol. I’m definitely gonna be checking now! I don’t want that stuff brought home with me! Good call!
@@MAXhomesteader I’m not sure of the brand. I got them used. Some are pretty universal I believe. I called a guy locally who installs them and he cut me the new legs for them so they would be taller. He already knew what I needed when I told him what I was doing. I would recommend someone to help and to start as level and as square as you can. Good luck on your building and let us know how it turns out! 👍🏻
