how hated we are allowing them the fallen ew that sit in government on all sides ....to take the pubs away ...they don't want us talking discussing chating having fun ..
St Patrick’s Day special and the show only focuses on Belfast and the rest of the United Kingdom 🙄😜🤔🤐 Could people celebrate St Patrick’s day in Belfast back then ? Fuck no. God help ya if you waved the flag of Ireland Last I checked , Dublin is the capitol of Ireland …
Re Bono interview ; while he does go on and on and on in that woeful boring quasi South Dublin accent , despite not being from there ( he sure as hell wasn’t from Ballymun , ya wha ? ) , the presenter is way too thick understand what he’s talking about ….. typical British attitude.. fear that the “Paddy” will speak the truth and sure, and thus cutting him off , you can be thick as shit but make sure that you’re not boring . Considering that the show is St Patrick’s day, there’s a woeful lot of Nordie based content. Thought they were British rather than Irish 😜🙄🤔. Irish when it suits them . Those fuckers in the north hammered the reputation of Ireland and Irish people back in the 1980s and earlier despite living no where near the border
the way the tape glitches out right before Sparks pulls her pants down... it's what happens when the owner of a tape repeatedly rewinds to a specific moment
I suspect he was frustrated about his musical contribution vs JDB and using h in part to mask his insecurity. It got too much and he opted to check out. He should have just walked away and tried to get help but it was likely done on impulse. The Cobain suicide may have influenced his decision.
You know what you can't even sing in a pub anymore and that's it you can afford to drink in one these days, I don't smoke anymore but stopping smoking in pubs is what ruined em
I remember seeing this, and how fantastic the Charlatans were, especially on the second song. It was pure catharsis for Rob Collins. I really liked The White Room - it was like the Jools Holland with atmosphere + the Word sans wankers. Good god, I even liked the Chaka Demus & Pliers song.
47:22 The exact reason why he didn't get the credit he deserved... 'Publicity shy'... Sorry Steve but this is what happens when you don't give interviews or put yourself or word out there, nobody is going to know of your existence and thus your credit or contribution will go unnoticed. Love to see how he would've faired nowadays in getting his work known.
Such an underrated guitarist that McCabe is……. the textures he provides for songs adds incredible depth and complexity to seemingly simple but beautiful songs. Definitely one of my favorite songs off all time.
