I’m so sorry for the delay in responding. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this ship for 2 reasons only. 1- if you’re planning on bringing children there are very limited on board amenities for them. 2- most importantly, the food was really sub par. For an empty nest couple, though?? I suspect there won’t be many, if any kids early November due to school. Headed to a 12 day from Barcelona to Lisbon on the Sky. Your tour was great! Loved the walking tour for perspective on moving through the ship.

Cool video! Brought back some memories of being on the Venezia back in Oct/Nov 2023 :) I'd read some criticism of the food but I very much agree with you that the food was overall great and there was plenty of choice!

If u need to know whats happening in Dominica and just general information about the place., ask Paula. They are both very kind and giving. The service is way beyond........ I consider them both my friends. They are both amazing tourist guide. Good ro see you again Paula and Culbert. See u at the Creole Jazz Festival in October. I love Dominica, so enchanting.
We’re out of the banana exports because of the WTO ruling on Caribbean bananas to Europe so we were basically put out of business by the USA pushing their agenda to bring Chiquita and Dole bananas forward.

We was on the panorama and my kid forgot his toothbrush and the first night they said “ we don’t have any extra or tooth brushes to be sold on the ship”. Craziest thing I ever heard of. Glad we got tons of stuff we don’t use every day 😂
Set timed dining is nice cause they know you and your drinks. But I like the choose your time dining so you can go when hungry and around the shows you like. We are heading off on the FIRENZY in Aug a sister shop to Venezia. I think the your time dining is in the gondola restaurant too. I love that spot. I’m enjoying the vids keep them coming. I do some with my family on my family’s channels too

i'm debating going on this cruise in aug. 2024 as a family of 4 with an 8 years old and 12 years old to caribbean. i heard about mix reviews for this cruise regarding the smell of smoke (not good for the kids) and mediocre food. how was your cruise overall with your kids?
The smell of smoke was definitely stronger on the Venezia than some of the other ships we have been on. It all depends on the ports you would like to see as well. We would not choose the Venezia for future cruises because we love the open concept pools a lot more and we love warm weather from beginning to end of our trip; leaving from NYC in November was quite chilly but that is just our preference.
