hey, sorry for the late answer! So, I just pick the base (thumb), then the three highest strings (middle finger, index finger, ring finger) over and over again. ;)

hey, sorry for the very late answer... So, I used this tab for reference: tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/tab/2548674 and for the first part i just alternate picking the base with my thumb and then the three highest strings together. hope that helps. :)

Sounds deceptively simple to play, but like a lot of L Cohen songs, it is not. Combining those cryptic lyrics with that picking pattern is not easy. Excellent effort young lady I really enjoyed it!
