Whomever it is that hacks this game to male it sellable on GoG needs to also make it so that mages start with at LEAST the basic Identify spell... and Burning Hands, for Gygax's sake.

I personally find it bizarre to think that every intelligent species in a world would all speak a common language. Even humans don't all speak the same language - sometimes even within the same country. Then again, I enjoy dabbling in linguistics, so I'm perfectly fine with deciphering foreign or unusual languages.
That was a most bold attempt on the gazer before you were truly ready (though also most amusing :) ) I remember underestimating it also, and paying dearly for the doing so. I have feared and respected them ever since (especially that one early room in UU2 ~)
Well, despite being very late to the party, since you asked, I can't even begin to tell you how much I have enjoyed finding this Let's Play series. I first played it when I was about 7 or 8 years old, and have spent ages trying to find someone else who remembers it; as it turns out, I'd only played the demo, Wizard!, which I only found out, together with the full name, by accident a few days ago. I'm now replaying it with the original demo party myself, and loving it. Thanks for making an old gamer girl happy!

I LOVED Commander Keen 4 as a kid, so when my Dad got me Commander Keen 5 AND Commander Keen: Aliens Ate My Babysitter! for my 9th birthday, you can bet your last dollar I absolutely loved it (and tbe fact my birthday was right before summer break).

I don't know what happened, I've played this game many times and know a lot of things about it. I started recently a new game after all these years, opened that door, got the Amber but not bones. Or I either remember to be regular femur or bones that crambled to dust. Now I go back to this game and go all over the map to see if I accidentally misplaced the bones somewhere. It's crazy, what happened I don't understand. I remember I've done this in the past but now there wasn't a complete set of bones anywhere. I will have to either use a save game utility to add that item as I should have normally gotten it, or start a new game and see if they are there in my version.
I was wondering why I recognized the Lieutenant's voice and learned that it was Tony Jay, who was the voice of Megabyte in the show Reboot. He was also the villain Claude Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Definitely still looks good. Surely, there have been some quality of life improvements for interactions, but all in all, it's still a very good experience.

In some cases LPers are still doing well and standing strong, but streaming has become the medium for most people. You were one of the first people I ever followed on youtube way back when I first started even watching lets plays, it's nice to see some of the old guard playing games sometimes. I watched an episode of Ultima Underworld 1 and then 2 every day before work, and I don't think I'll forget how cool it was to see games recorded through like that.
Almost the same but for me Byron reaally WAS The VERY FIRST LPer on youtube. Athough I watch streams I still have a warm heart for LPers on youtube. Still watching Byron and Gamehorder
