For a couple of geniuses, why didn't they just sever the hydraulics? Since the arm was currently not functioning, severing the hydraulics cables would have removed all function to the hand and caused the fingers to release.
I don't see the reason they had to go to the hospital, it's a robot arm, just disassemble the hand from the wrist or at the elbow if your worried about the program continuing and reassemble it again later, or just cut the power supply to the arm, the arm need electricity to work, either a battery or a direct line to the a wall socket, so just unplug the power and your good, or just use a nuru gel or some other form of lubricant and gently pull out, save yourself the embarrassment and extra work.

they were replaying a Larry Monroe session from before he died a few years ago, local radio DJ that was super insane on his knowledge of music. this was the song that had me floored in my car. i'm extremely spoiled on very good music and i know a good singer when i hear one. Shemekia has a phenomenal voice!! it was love at first listen. awesome guitar players in her band also, the whole band is fantastic in fact. love it thanks for sharing
