You already know how much I love the narrative you created in this video, but I just can't help but mention it again. You did such a great job combining Zeke's redemption arc with Zekaela's love story. Both are intertwined with each other and I just love how well you showed that, starting with Michaela helping Zeke fix his relationship with his mom. It's such a great example of why they need each other in their lives, because they understand each other to their core and they would never have to ask the other for help, because they instinctively know what's wrong. Which is why I love the next part so much, with all the "together" / needing each other parallels. It shows the foundation of their relationship so well. 1:29 - 1:42 does such a great job of showing how much Michaela believes in him and how she can see him for who he really is. 1:42 - 2:06 is SO BRILLIANT because you combined her initial fear of getting into a relationship with Zeke knowing she could lose him within 8 months with her worst fears coming to life as he asks her to let him go. This part bring tears to my eyes every time I watch it T.T 2:06 - 2:24 I just love that you showed how much Zeke means to all the main characters!! Him forming this new family around himself was such an important part of his redemption arc and it was just so wonderful to see in this video <3 2:24 - 3:02 MY EMOTIONS!! MY EMOTIONS!!!!!! You found the perfect scenes and parallels to show just how well Zeke came full circle in the finale and how far he has come! When faced with a similar situation as the one in which he lost Chloe, he made the different and right choice to be selfless and brave and save Cal. It's just so freaking good!!! 3:02 - 3:27 is mainly just Michaela and me crying a lot over how much we love Zeke T.T 3:27 - 3:46 HE IS JUST SUCH A BIG DAMN HERO!!! I love that you included that 2x06 moment because it's so underrated but it's so hugely important that he was willing to break his sobriety to save Michaela from having to take any drugs herself! 3:46 - 3:55 OH LOOK I'M CRYING AGAIN T.T 3:55 - 3:14 I'M JUST FULL ON SOBBING AT THIS POINT 4:15 - 4:40 THE ENDING IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND HOPEFUL AND SOFT!!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! After rewatching who knows how many times, I think this just might be my favourite Zekaela vid! It's just so well done and does such a great job telling their story and showing their deep love for each other! You truly created a masterpiece! And thank you so much for the dedication <3 I'm still so grateful this show brought us all together and I hope we get to spend many more years talking about it!
WOW!!!! My goodness....you said essay and you weren't;t kidding. I mean I spent a lot of time thinking about Zeke coming full circle... what he didn't do for his sister he did for Cal. Thats a beautiful picture of redemption. The way he was so lonely in the beginning, even his mom slamming the door in his face and Michaela trying to make it right for him and Zeke and his mom having a beautiful relationship after all of that.... ugh, I'm reduced to tears thinking about it. Everyone needs their mom.... Zeke's relationships with the kids... I mean it was so beautiful to see.... His deep love for Cal and to think that was one of the last things he said to Mick, what we saw with Olive, I cried so hard, even Saanvi going to the ends of the earth to help Zeke.... he has a family now when in the beginning he said not everyone is meant to have a family..... And yeah, he would rather take the drugs than have Mick take them, so caring and selfless, that he would be willing to relapse for Michaela, I don't really have words for it. And of course his relationship with Mick.... its just a beautiful masterpiece!! Thanks for all your help with this one. I learned a lot.
Iva Le totally! I was not expecting that scene between Zeke and Olive. It was so raw and emotional but I literally was crying. I didn’t realize how much Olive actually cared for Zeke. I meant there were barely any conversations between the two, and we never got to see their relationship as niece and uncle. I can’t wait for season three so we can see their relationship more. It’s going to be amazing!
Yeah...We all know Zeke is GREAT WITH KIDS!!!! WTF...he's gonna be a great father to his kids. His relationship with Cal is so so special.... and now with Olive...GAH...I cried during their scenes. So beautifully done.

I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ACTUALLY MADE THIS!!! I saw the notification this morning and pretty much died!! I love that you started with the 2x08 scene where Zeke asks her if she's okay and for a moment she falls back into that habit of keeping her feelings close to her heart. One look from him and she opens up, like she always does with him. It showcases her development pretty well. And then you show how Zeke went through a similar journey, with his addiction and lingering temptation, but ultimately not relapsing because he wants to stay strong for Mick. His speech about how she accepted him with open arms combined with the 1x16 hug really hit me hard T.T 0:40 - 0:53 I love how you're paralleling all these scenes where the two of them relate to each other and in doing so support the other in terms of dealing with their traumas. It's such an important part of their relationship and you managed to show it so well in such a short time <3 0:58 "I could hold you for a million years" WITH THAT FOREHEAD TOUCH MURDERED ME!!!! AND THEN YOU JUST FOLLOW IT WITH MICK CRYING AND ZEKE HUGGING HER BECAUSE IT'S NOT LIKE I WASN'T EMOTIONAL ENOUGH ALREADY T.T "Go to the ends of the earth for you" fits them SO WELL and you chose the PERFECT scenes for it!! 1:18 - 1:33 mostly just consisted of me sobbing over how beautiful they are and how great you managed to match the lyrics with the clips "I've known it from the moment that we met" MY EMOTIONS!! MY EMOTIONS!!!! "No doubt in my mind where you belong" WITH THE PROPOSAL WAS *GENIUS*!! 1:59 - 3:27 is just me constantly sobbing over the wedding scenes combined with this song and over how perfect they are <3 This is absolutely gorgeous!! I'm so glad you finally managed to vid them again and that you blessed us with this masterpiece!! And I cannot thank you enough for the dedication! It means the world to me. I'm so glad to have met you through these two and I really hope we'll get to spend many more years fangirling about these two <3
0:14 already had me losing my breath because that scene was SO PERFECT for these lyrics!! She literally couldn't catch her breath when she saw him T.T And the same goes for when he saw her, really saw her, for the first time. 0:21 I had been wondering which shot you were gonna use for "two souls into one flesh" AND BOY YOU REALLY CHOSE THE BEST ONE!! I GOT SO EMOTIONAL JUST OVER HOW GREAT YOUR SCENE CHOICE WAS! 0:33 "When you're not next to me, I'm incomplete" SHE IS T.T AND HE IS T.T I love that you used their first kisses throughout the first chorus and that there was so much passion and love there! It's the feelings I always assosicate with this song and you really nailed it with your scene choices! 1:01 - 1:36 "Oh love, let me see inside your heart" with the parallels of them slowly opening up to each other hit me HARD! THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL! 2:02 The scenes getting more intense as the music does is just *chef's kiss*! I love how much they care for each other and want to save each other!! THE LAST CHORUS JUST HAD ME CRYING THE WHOLE TIME WTF T.T "A good heart goes a long way" was the perfect ending because it sums them up SO WELL and it plays into the idea that maybe to escape the death date they just have to follow the callings and continue to grow and become better people. I loved it so much!!

Wow, this is amazing!! The beginning instantly hit me right in the face with all the death date parallels T.T You captured the underlying sadness and feeling of urgency in their relationship so well and I'm so impressed with how seamlessly you paralleled all those scenes. And then you just instantly transition into them talking about how much they have inspired each other to be better and how their lives are better with the other in them, and I just continue crying T.T I also really loved the parallel of Ben pointing out Michaela's pattern of pulling away when things get too real and Zeke confronting her with that behaviour in 2x04 and her letting go of the hug in 2x03! It perfectly summarises the subtext in those scenes. And then you end me with their theme of not feeling worthy of being loved initially and now finally being open to love and slowly learning to love themselves too! This is all so beautiful and I'm absolutey in love with it <3
SO MANY FEELS. Isa, you did such a beautiful job of displaying the internal conflicts Zekaela had to overcome, to get the rest of their life together. And seeing all of those moments. Back to back like that. Set to this beautiful music. IT HITS DIFFERENTLY. The line Zeke says, “At least now I have a reason to be strong,” and Michaela’s response, “We both do.” For some reason, I’d always seen his part, as having to do with internal conflicts, and hers having to do with external conflicts. But your edit has completely changed my perception and made me realize that they meant it both ways. SCREAM. I can’t believe I didn’t see that before. Even now when Zeke is dealing with the death date (external conflict) and Michaela getting to a certain point and pulling away (internal conflict). And it’s not like I didn’t know these two were changing the game for their person. MIND BLOWN.
