This car is very custom and very far from stock, so too much details. Heavily modified Nissan V8 engine, 4 Wheel drive with sequential transmission, built for top speed competitions.
Damn you captured my proudest dragracing moments. First a big bog incl catching the reverse gate going into second gear. Then my amazing red-light in the first round of eliminators against a 13.5 car. Hahaha. Good lord. Well, ya gotta start somewhere I guess. 😅 But the best was our reaction times in the backseat of the Audi. 😂😂😂
@@volvoproblems3567Cylinder heads will live longer and coolant temp in engine is more even because each cylinder basically has its own coolant passing through.
The Volvo won? Hard to tell. If so , 11.4 @ 200kmh? What's the weight? You dyno'd at 400rwkw right? Assuming 1300~kg with driver, your mph indicates 400hp. Interesting to see the real world power down vs dyno from Sweden.
@@Low760 Sierra won, Volvo did 11.6. Dynoed about 350rwkw with the boost we ran. Havent weighed but probably about 1300kg. Its a manual transmission car so did some granny shifting to get from a to b, had some shifting problems all weekend.
Why do you re torque the cylinder head 2 more times even before starting the engine? I have had two gaskets fail on me already, maybe I need to try this?
Because this engine is built with fire rings and they need to seat properly between cylinder head and block. Then i tighten in small torque steps to seat the rings and gasket properly. What type of cylinder head gasket you have and in what situation it fails?
@@kaidojoema ahh ok makes sense. I use the original Elring gasket. I have made 350 horsepower at the wheels, and makes it quite easily. But I have had the gasket fail a couple of times. Although I have had the engine really hot all those times, over 100C°…. I’m sure that wasn’t helping the problem.
@@remygardner9273 350whp should be no problem with stock composite headgasket if the tune is good. If the tune isnt so good and you overheat it then it will fail yes.
@@kaidojoema the tune is fine, problem is it’s a drift car, and I’m bouncing off the limiter all day. And going sideways which doesn’t help airflow even though I have a big radiator and massive spal fan. Would temo shouldn’t I go over? 95c°?
@@remygardner9273 Maybe you should try some thermostat with lower temperature like 82’c, I had a drift car for years what got all kinds of abuse and didn’t have this kind of engine failure. This was very simple engine with only h-beam con rod, stock head gasket and bolts. Big radiator, twin fans and low temp thermostat. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1haMwWJTfiE.htmlsi=5JxrpY9pqGisdkmn
I absolutely LOVE these body style and years and I think over 400 horsepower is the most I've seen from a 230, lately I'm crazy for the white blocks 6 cylinders but thos one is the best flat hood I've seen in a while .. Great Job !!
@@jdcabauwnlHavent been to dyno yet, some small things have not yet been finished on the car. Have not had any stroker B230 before so we will see what it will do. Previous engines have done 600hp 800Nm the most.
@@kaidojoema Did you build does engines or other stroker engine you know. But those figures are just insane. Today installed my kl-racing intercooler. I didn't drive with it because of traffic. Tomorrow I am going to try it out for the first time:) Can't wait to see yours on the road and on a Dyno. Do you run the turbo with an EBC?
