If you ran only the 8” does the music sound clear and crisp. They say it’s a full range but just wanted to know if I did only 8” full range would it still sound normal or super bass heavy.
Does anybody out there know of an autopilot system that works for cable/ hydraulic cylinder inboard outboard system? 1988 Thompson Carrera 24' 350 V8 mer cruiser
Just ordered the EV 100 for my lund, curious how well it works with the lowrance elite fs 9 or if it will. Not a big deal as the head unit offers the main functionality that I was looking for.
great to find this video. I am rewiring my boat this spring ( started the planning last winter ) and your video showed me a few things to think about. mine is real simple today but i may add NMEA network at a later date so leaving a place for it may become part of the plan. thank you for sharing your project.
10:30 I simply used the 2 90 deg fittings that are in the back of the steering helm and put them on the pump. The kit from Sitex comes with one straight fitting for the return line reservoir . Didn't need to go to Home Depot for 3 extra fittings for the 150 with kit..
dude!! go diving ANYWHERE you gotta have the diver down flag Too many idiots on the water and also required! nice looking family..dont let some idiot on a jet ski mess that up
Hi Tony. I love your video. Looks doable. I have. 2015 2530 Yamaha 300hp and 9.9 and plan on adding a second station on back of the cabin. How did you tee the hydraulic and the control cables? Thanks in advance.
Thank you! It’s really easy honestly I just T’d the lines of the main helm as well as the compensator line. You can get the T’s from Seastar or really any marine shop will mostly have them
Honestly it’s really hard to find the second station controls for the legacy DEC controls. If you already have the helm master it would be easy as you can purchase a kit. The easiest and best but also most expensive would be to switch your main helm to the helm master and add the second station as well. I got lucky and was able to purchase the legacy 6x6 controls from a buddy who was upgrading to the helm master system.
@@reynaldobaldoza2572 also I’m sorry but I don’t really have a parts list but if you search Yamaha second station control diagram there are several parts lists available. Also seastar has good second station hydraulic diagrams
Thanks Tony. I am gathering options on what kind of second station I am going to install. I am leaning forward to just add a tee to the mail hydraulic lines and just move my kicker control from the main helm to the rear.
Hi sir. The ev 150 need some kind of piece in the outboard to measure de shaft angle? OR the only things you need are inside de box kit?. Thanks a lot from Argentina
Hola! Gracias por ver el video! You can buy a rudder position sensor or “smart stick” to get rudder position feedback. I currently don’t have one and it works fine but it’s something I’ll probably add eventually
I love your video. I just purchased a 2015 Parker 2530. I plan on adding a second station at the back of the cabin. I have a yamaha 300 tied with 9.9 yamaha kicker with seastar hydraulic. Was wondering if you can point me out on how to DIY this project. Thank you in advance.
Thanks for the video and descriptions. We're thinking about replacing our existing (originally great, but problematic now) S1000 with the EV-150, and it looks like a good upgrade. I'll comment back if we do, and if the existing hydraulics will work with the EV-150. Thanks!
Awesome spot in Avalon. Love the chimes on the hour. I was that age 60 years ago our family took the steamer over many times. My boys and I have had many good times fishing as well over time. Ps. Me and the Mrs. have had some romantic times without the kids.
Hey Tony, I appreciate for your video. I've installed today the same configuration as yours. Everything works the same as in your case but I can't see the gear data on the Yamaha page. Is there any way to get it ? My MFD is Axiom XL 16/F200XCA/6YG/6YC and digital throttle connected to Command link plus hub.
I only have an NMEA2k system in my boat and will have no other raymarine equipment aside from this autopilot. Do I need to order the seatalk network switch to make the autopilot work? Or did you only need that because of your raymarine MFD?
how was the water ? i got a 2022 19ft bayliner, ive never been in ocean before but ive been wanting to try catalina, any advice ? not gonna lie im scared lol
That’s awesome! Honestly it’s not bad just pick a day with good weather and minimal swell. Plug in your gps and you’ll be good. Maybe try a couple small trips first to get comfortable. It’s a blast though
@@Tonygiooffshore i was thinking that too, launch and cruise around a bit before i actually make a longer trip there .. or find someone whos going and caravan along side with them.. what swell level do you recommend not to travel in there for my size boat ?
@@robertmahe6231 that’s a great idea get someone to “buddy boat” with you a cross. I would recommend picking a day with seas less than 3’ and long period greater than 10 seconds
No worries. I went with four 6.5's because I already had holes for them and I couldn't be happier for the money. Plenty of volume even while running my pontoon with a 115 4 stroke.
great video. im planning on installing the same system soon. this will save me a ton of time hunting down hoses and adapters. thanks for sharing. I feel the same about myself making videos lol. I think it came out great.
Came out Great! How many strips did you use for the cockpit and Vberth? I have a 2520 and would like to make this addition as well. Thanks in Advance 🤙🏽
Thank you! I just got them off Amazon. Super useful www.amazon.com/JAVOedge-PACK-Adhesive-Accessories-Organizer/dp/B01N78SJX7/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=2XA852UTPU1LY&keywords=velcro+cargo+nets&qid=1686843507&sprefix=velcro+cargo+nets%2Caps%2C299&sr=8-4
