Thanks sooo much! Been working a problem out for the past 2 hrs & finally decided to turn to YT for help. Found the answer using a calculator but needed help with showing work. It was 0.83 (3 repeating) written as a fraction. My daughter just started 8th grade today.

there is another hidden 1, when you are resolving polynomials. example: (2b² + 3b -6) - (2b² - 4b - 9). there is a hidden 1 next to the parenthesis on the second trinomial, so you need to distribute "'-1 " before you do the math, adding the "like terms".
(2b² + 3b -6) - (2b² - 4b - 9) = 2b² + 3b - 6 - 2b² +4b + 9, which the final result is 7b + 4. Note that when we distribuite the "-1" to -4b and to -9, they both become postive. hope it helps anyone struggling with algebra.
