dustin beat himself. He didn't want it as bad as islam, he was more afraid of what islam could do than he was confident in what he could do and thats really why he lost. You never hear a fighter talking about what he can't do & what he's afraid his opponent might do as much as Dustin. It's weird af tbh. I'm not sure how he's even made it this far with that kind of mentality, I guess it speaks to his skills but thats only half of the game. The damage was pretty even and islam could no longer take him down mid fight. Islam just has the mind and the skills as most great fighters and champions do. They're looking to smash and dominate and could give a shit about what their opponent can do.

did not dominate, he won 3-1 rounds, but were all super close, only won cuz of control time. Plus this was by far his toughest fight, i mean when have we ever seen islam bleed like that, and have his takedowns stuffed
We saw Islam bleed vs Volk in the first match. Not this much though. But I believe cuts should not be the be all, end all. Islam got hit with elbows more, hence the cuts. But Volk vs Islam never had any moment where Volk got dominated as badly as Dustin did in the first and the third round. Plus Volk dropped Islam and pounded him out for the rest of the round in the fifth. Volk 1 was by far Islam's toughest imo.
This was a great performance by Islam, but in my opinion, it was his toughest. Islam looks very beatable with the failed submission attempts and takedowns. If he moves up to fight Leon, he's gonna get eliminated.

Apparently strickland fight is 5 rounds. In that case, i think sean got the advantage. Sean’s cardio is very good and definitely can up the pace and become dangerous if paulo doesnt knock him out after the second round
I think in grappling Khabib is way better if Khabib was still active he be even better every time when Islam and Khabib spared Islam always lost. I think Islam has better stand up but if they both fought Khabib will dominate Islam Khabib is the most dominant fighter in the UFC no doubt u can't say otherwise Khabib would keep taking Islam down and most likely submit him.
I agree Islam is levels above Dustin as a fighter. The ufc gave him the title shot because Islam wants to stay active and no one accepted the fight but Dustin. You guys have good mma knowledge 🤠
I think costa wins. Strickland does have great cardio, wich is a weakness that paulo has. But i think he knocks him out, strickland is not fast like whitaker or adesanya, and strickland just jabs and uses no wrestling or leg kicks
Ian is the only fight that makes sense for Colby imo. Not only does that kid need to be humbled, but Colby has just lost a title fight and has 0 wins against ranked opponents. He only deserves someone ranked lower than him.
