I went through this in Ames Iowa. I’ve never seen such strong winds! A tree blew over right in front of my place. Stuff flying through the air like crazy. It was nasty!
Luckily traveling due west on I-80, directly into the wind. If those truckers with the wind turbine blades were north/south on I-35 in that area, the wind would have ripped them off the road.
I bet the guy driving that windmill blade was on edge. Going down the interstate in basically a hurricane while hauling a massive piece of hardware literally designed to move in the wind.
Half the people pulled over to the right with their blinkers on and the other half zipping by on the left without a care in the world. If you are driving into the wind doing 70 MPH and the wind is blowing with gust up to 70 MPJH that is the same as 140 MPH. God, I hate fools.
The reason why there is no sound is because it’s a dash camera I was in this storm not fun at all seeing a black wall of a cloud coming at you as soon as you wake up and look to the left
Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) receptors, which is a mechanism by which the novel coronavirus infects your cells. And the safe and effective way this can greatly increase the body’s natural interferon production [COVID19 is a lack of interferon alpha in the body]...This unique formulation set's this apart from any other immune builder. It's a blend of four powerful plant extracts: pumpkin seeds, safflower flower, Japanese Honeysuckle flower and Asian Plantain seed. Pumpkin Seeds for kids and the elderly too...If GOD is all knowing, we gotta' learn somethin' new everyday hunh...
man...that trucker with the turbine blade gonna be sheeting bricks in a few minutes...lol...saw video on how all those blades are not recyclable and now they are filling up the landfill sites...just bury them under...so much for earth friendly power
Crazy thing is, turbines are EVERYWHERE in Iowa. It isn't uncommon to see a couple dozen flashing red turbine lights in the horizon at any point in time.
Alot of you dont realize that we had no idea this “derecho” was even coming!! Otherwise yeah alot more people would have been at home! ALSO this is I80 fools from all around this nation travel on it and im sure they had no idea either
I cannot understand in the least the idiots who continued driving in such conditions _with no headlights on_ (as evidenced by lack of tail marker lights, but functioning brake lights)
If I saw this whole driving where I lived...NOPE!!! I would definitely think there was a tornado somewhere near...The trees were swaying and how hard visibility was.... I would be on the side...near no trees..
In Boone, there are lots of big old trees blown over on the city golf course. My neighbors had a very heavy tree branch blown down in our front yard and just barely missed landing on my house thankfully. My other neighbor had a large old tree fall on his house while he was in it, but he was not injured. Also, there was not enough warning time for the storm sirens to activate. Most of the crops look good in this area of Boone.
Lee, I am a producer on a show for The Weather channel and we are interested in using your video. Please contact me at mike.wallis.contractor@weathergroup.com
OK, who kept saying, get off the road and pushing their foot on the floor searching for the break pedal? I was at home watching the storm out the back door.
And ya know, if the taillights were actually on and too dim (which I may grant to the crossover SUV ahead and left of the camera POV) they aren't doing their job -- check the wiring or replace with brighter bulbs, maybe an LED set!
@@shortii12341 that is true. When i took classes on it, it was a weather phenomenon thats rather rare..usually not talked about til the end of the chapter..if that makes any sense. Its Spanish..means: direct or straight forward. Like a frieght train in this case.
Exactly! I'm no truck driver, but the moment I saw lots of lights pulled over, I would pull over near them so their lights would help protect me as well.
the larger the vehicle, the more wind will affect it. Tractor trailers are huge with a lot of surface area for those wind to hit. Easier to turn over. Cars dont have as much surface for the wind to affect, so less chance of being blown over
