We are, Frank & Fern, retired Canadian travel vloggers that love the adventure of traveling. We share our international travels and our travels right here in Canada. We have a special place in our hearts for the Canadian Maritimes as well, as we have a tiny cabin in the woods there, needing plenty of attention. So, grab a coffee (or tea) and join our adventures, every Sunday.

@@HandpanLady Thank you, HandpanLady. We bought the fridge on Facebook Market Place. But, if you are from Canada, you can find them at Canadian Tire. Appreciate you watching our videos. 🙏
It's for a Ford Transit 2014-21. But just in case it helps, here is the link. Good luck. Vahaha FTP004 Swivel Seat Base Compatible with Ford Transit 150 250 350 2014-2021- Right Passenger Side a.co/d/2etpOGO
We’re having a second honeymoon next September 2025 and we choose PEI, and we’re doing a road trip from Ontario to PEI we’re really excited. We’re probably staying at the Green Gables cottage and go visit house Anne of Green Gables. I’m interested in PEI so this video is going to be my insight. 🤲❤️🤗
Great video….the list of “ things that didn’t work” was very very short, proving that you two did an amazing job of thinking through and building the van! …and the things that didn’t work were really little tweaks …really a great job with the storage shelves that hold the travel cubes!
Just visited on a house hunting trip. The property taxes are higher than where I currently live, just outside Ottawa. PEI has approximately 177.000 people, and it's very difficult to get a doctor like everywhere else in Canada. It is diffently a quieter pace which is a huge plus. Beautiful views of the water and Charlottetown is very nice.
This new series from @JavaWalkerWorld is on the Magnificent Newfoundland Island. One of Canada's most interesting Provinces. You'll find it under YT Playlist "Canada"
Hi Frank and Fern, Try loosening the bolts around the circular collar on the swivel, that should allow the seat turn more easily. Can you still get the jack out if you have a flat tire? Van looks amazing and we enjoy your videos.
Hi John. The swivel works great. It was more about getting the technique right. And best of all, we don't need to open the door to swivel it. We found the sweet spot. Just took a few tries. I believe we have access to the Jack from the side of the seat facing the door...but we'll need to double-check. Good point. Thanks for your support.
In my personal opinion, nightime can be dangerous if you are alone or even a couple. We were generally back to our condo/Loft by 10pm. If you travel at night, travel in numbers. We would avoid driving late at night, too. Hope this helps. Stay safe.
Thanks, Peter. Once Frank and I get something going, we are determined to see it through. We are already traveling in NFLD, and I have already found a few things to tweak. BTW, NFLD IS STUNNING!
Hey John. Just getting back to you with the details on the power bar we are using for shore power and with the Bluetti. Hopefully, this link reaches you.www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/mastercraft-8-outlet-power-bar-with-6-ft-cord-circuit-breaker-and-lighted-switch-yellow-black-0527261p.html?ds_rl=1283573&ds_rl=1283573&gclid=CjwKCAjw5qC2BhB8EiwAvqa41htHt41BD-E-dro2epe_vdfxyqcPhYkoFwKZO_yjja84Ga-IBGNlCBoCCMoQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds#store=217
Hi. It's Jeremy. I just watch the first video. I believe if you have scrap of the table left over that you can do the same step you did for your ends cuts. Resteam the scrap pieces to remove the veneer from the pieces and repute them on the placed pieces. Just a thought.
Hi Shirley. Appreciate you following along. I guess you can say we like to keep busy. Miss you. We'll be visiting Campbellford soon. Looking forward to seeing you then. Maybe we'll bring the van down.
Mesmerized, since I've been considering doing this as well. How much has it cost you so far? Is everything you're putting in the van from IKEA? BTW - Consider me subscribed!
👋 Dive-Deeper. No, not everything is IKEA. The bed setup and countertops and some decor. But almost everything else we got through Amazon and Home Depot/Kent/Home Hardware. I think if you keep things simple you can do it for under 10k. And, if you are retired like us, it can be done in one month. The only things we still need to do, which will happen after our NFLD trip will be the installation of the diesel heater and finishing off (covering) the back doors. And, in the future (if we feel it's needed) we'll install an awning and AC. These are two expensive items that we are not convinced we need. Frank and I appreciate that you have chosen to follow us 🙏.
One more question. If we don’t have a car when we go in March/April what part of Alvor do you recommend to be able to walk to pick up groceries and walk to restaurants etc. ?
So enjoying your videos. Will def help us narrow down our choices for mext March/April. Hard time deciding between Alvor and Portimao. Would you say they are both very walkable and we could manage without a car?
Thanks for reaching out, Odell. Yes, both are very walkable. Portimao is much bigger with all the benefits of a working city. Good and bad...mostly good. Alvor is a beautiful village set up for tourists. Personally, our choice would be Alvor then Portimao...but then we'd always rent a car anyway. Love both. Hope thus helps. Portimao is cheaper for housing.

@@raffaeletomarchio5028 Hi Raffaele. You don't need to. You can take a train or bus, should you want to visit other places. But, renting a car gives you a level of freedom you might like in order to explore. Enjoy your time there.
So glad I found your channel. It will help us in our decision in picking between southern Spain and the Algarve. But we are leaning towards the Algarve. Looking forward to watching your other videos!
