In this video I show you how I modified my H6076 RGBWIC Govee lamp so I could fit it behind my guitar. Here I remove the base plate to make the lamp super slim. I still recommend them, but I wish they made a true 85" govee TV light strip. In the video I have the T1 but I recently upgraded to the T2 Govee light strip. Below is a link to both: T1 amzn.to/3TyXh0P T2 amzn.to/400uFQp In this video I also, briefly, showcase my govee lamps that sync w/ the TV. Below is a link to them. Govee Lyra lamp amzn.to/3TwXnWS
i think the most unfortunate part about the 2nd gen Google Nest Wired camera is probably the lack of a battery. if our house loses power (which is pretty frequent in the US), then the camera is effectively dead.
Great point. I should check my Mac addresses. Currently I have one SSID set up that shares 2.4 & 5ghz under the same SSID name. I'll check tonight to see which one holds the Mac address for my Google nest doorbell
Thanks for the info... I have Gen 1 right now at my door.. I guess I can't just use the old holes to install the mounting plate? Man! I don't wanted to put so many holes by my door!
The quality is much better than the first video! I would now say that the image quality is on par with gen 1, and the low light footage is better. Thanks for your updates!
I don't know if it's RU-vid compression but compared to gen 1, the daytime footage is inferior. The night-time footage however seems to be better. I find where gen 1 struggles a little was night vision. I don't like that they reduced the aspect ratio from 160 deg to 145 deg. The front of my house is pretty wide so that's a downgrade for me. I think I will skip this model. Thanks!
You're welcome! Glad the video helped. I will say after the second update I got the daytime footage is much better. I should add to this video with daytime footage. I'll brb

I'm looking at upgrading my gen 1 wired doorbell but quickly looking at the specs sheet, the gen 2 wired seems to be inferior. I'd like to see a comparison between gen 1 and gen 2.

Can you check to see if the backplate holes are the same spacing on both wired and battery doorbells? Also if the new doorbell can use the battery doorbells backplate for us that already own one and dont want to have to redo the backplate when switching?
Very helpful, thanks. Mine comes tomorrow so i get to ditch the Battery. Had a Gen 1 before that so hopefully those original holes are still good to go and will be secure.
