Welcome to my channel dedicated to the wonderful world of paper art. ♡ Follow me on a journey through my creative process as I delve into different paper quilling techniques to bring nature to life.
Paper quilling is an art form that involves rolling and shaping of strips of paper into intricate designs. One unique aspect of my work is that I cut my own paper strips, which are only 1mm wide, and paint the leaves. My artworks are mainly inspired by the botanical world and I am constantly seeking to push the boundaries of what is possible with paper quilling.
I hope you are enjoying your stay here and feel inspired to explore your own creativity and discover the beauty and versatility of a simple material: paper.
Hello Manu. These flowers are lovely and delicate! I did not know they could be pink as well. I love both of them. Thank you for sharing all your creative process in a deeply relaxing video. Take care. A kiss for you.
Goodness Manu, these are extraordinary. Forget-me-nots are one of my favourite flowers as they grow wild in my garden and are so beautiful. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen pink ones though so that’s a new one for me! To even cut such tiny narrow strips takes some amount of skill never mind then quilling with them. Isn’t it interesting that the smaller the flowers and the strips you use, the longer it takes and the more skill and patience you need! You render them perfectly and it would be hard to tell them apart from the real thing. I never cease to wonder at your mastery of the craft. Thank you for sharing ❤😘.
Thank you for your kind words, Elena! 😊 It's always a joy for me to create these paper flowers and it makes me so happy that others love them as much as I do. 🥰
Wow,Manu! This on-edge quilling bird is so beautiful. Thank you for showing us something different. On- edge is my favorite technique. I hope you use it more in the future, but that doesn't mean I am not looking forward to seeing you making a bouquet of tulips 😊 . Take care.
Oh my goodness Manuela I was absolutely mesmerised watching this gorgeous bird emerge from your fingers! I love on edge quilling as it facilitates a much more graphic and conceptual rendering of an image and really allows you to paint with the paper. However because of this it can also be very difficult to achieve perfect shape and balance. You did so perfectly. You allow the shape of the paper suggest the feathers and the eye of the bird bringing him to life! The addition of the equally graphic and modern leaves finishes the piece perfectly, so unusual and clever. Please do more of these pieces 🥰. ❤😘
I’m not sure how I missed this when you first posted it Manu but I only saw this today, but it was worth the wait. What a stunning piece. I can’t believe you actually rounded all those fringed edges for the asters, your patience and dexterity is astonishing! It’s wonderful to see all the elements you have so lovingly quilled come together in this beautiful piece, a perfect depiction of the best that Summer, and Manuela, has to offer! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent. ❤😘
Always happy to have you here, Orla! 😊 Thank you so much for your comment. The rounded fringed edges were definitely a labor of love. 😄 These compositions with many elements are my favorite projects. I’m glad you enjoyed the video and the summer vibes! ❤
Assalam o Alaikum, My name is Manahil Nawaz, and I am a student of BS Mass Communication, currently in my 8th semester. I am working on my final project, which is a documentary on the "Art of Paper Quilling." I would be honored to interview you and showcase your work in my documentary. Would you be willing to participate in an interview and allow me to feature your art? The interview can be conducted online via Zoom at a time convenient for you, and it will be recorded. Your participation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for considering this opportunity. Warm regards, Manahil Nawaz
Absolutely stunning Manuela, your patience and precision are once again mesmerising. The fringing alone is like nothing else I’ve ever seen, it’s like the scissors are just an extension of your fingers! I love how you used different colours and widths intertwined to achieve a very realistic centre to the sunflower. And while we think of the sunflower as a big brash and unapologetically bold flower, you bring sophistication and delicacy with your touches of added pastel colour to the petals and mottled colour on the bracts. I can’t wait to see the next part! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with us again. ❤😘
