4/20/21 11:54 pm Haven't watched Man of Steel; although I have first encountered this piece when it was February of 2017, from a fanmade movie edit. I was 13 years old- naive, lost, torn and helpless. Lisa's ethereal voice and the unwavering hymn got me to listen for awhile and ponder, _"It must be a curse to feel so deeply, and not knowing my future, what painfully lies ahead. But nothing can ever be more painful for not knowing if I'll ever get out of this dark place. For a lifetime it's just all sorrows, the joy ahead I can't touch from my hands."_ I'm 17 now. The dark place is no more, but even if it creeps out, I just accept it and thank myself for having able to survive them. I admit, listening to this piece again has unburied old raw emotions and it's bittersweet. Heart pounding like it has been stabbed by a sharp, serrated dagger like it was 4 years ago. Time flies just decently. I am not alone anymore. And I'm looking forward in the future to talk about this with the person I'll love the most, with this song echoes around the shore... squat in the sand, looking towards the horizons and yellow skies above me.
