Do you prefer the washer and dryer not being stacked now? My wife likes the idea of having a stacked combination, just curious of your thoughts having had both
came across this as i was looking at murphy doors. i am 100% going this route for the bathroom door in the master bedroom. my wife would love a "secret door " use a book as the door knob to releaae the latch. congrats man your workmanship looks great
I am not one to leave comments but I had to for your video. I am a pretty novice wood worker myself and have been chasing the idea of a hidden bookcase for a while. Your video is so easy to follow and understand that it has given me the push I need to go ahead and take on this project. My one question given that I am math challenged... how did you figure the measurement so the case clears the opening when you open it? Geometry was never my best subject so I will need help with that. Thank you sir and keep it up!
I do doors for a living and the only thing that scares me are those hinges.... those are barely rated for a 100 lb door.... even using 6 would only equal a 200 lb rating. That case full of books will weigh significantly more than 200 lbs..... maybe upgarde to some commercial grade 4.5" truly HEAVY DUTY hinges as opposed to those 3.5" ones. The expense associated with Murphy doors is usually because of the need for excessive weight rating. Looks great!!!
Bro I literally just watched your vid on my break! I loved every second brother hopefully the Mrs will allow you to continue to bring us great content like this! You've definitely earned a sub!
It's a cool project, honestly I would have repurposed a closet from a thrift store, but that's me. The bonus is you can repurpose it into a panic room with a steel plate and some bolts, a box of protein bars and a case of water bottles.
Your videos are awesome. You are so easy to watch and learn without feeling attacked by the presenter speaking like an influencer. Thanks for such rad videos!
Super annoying music that you edited in your video was a terrible idea. We don't want music we'd rather have you talking while we're watching this video other than someone annoyingly loud music.
What can one say for those who do the work themselves. Never mind a better sense of appreciation, the workmanship is second to none, I truly applaud you. Being in the trade myself and, of course, being an avid music and somewhat movie listener, you've done a fabulous job. Got to give it to you, the room looks amazing. However, now that the novelty has worn off, how does the really sound? Forget about false economy cables, which heightens the noise floor. Acoustically speaking, how does the room sound? In my experience, too much absorption can actually stifle the sound stage. I, too, also have a small room, and for my ears and within my room rather than absorption, diffusion seems to be a better option. Diffusion gives the perception of a larger listening environment, which for small rooms is ideal. Funny enough, I just actually shot a short video... if interested.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K49Af49krMc.htmlsi=4Zte29QMPC07-G-0 Please don't take it to heart. You've done a fabulous job. I'm just a nit-picker (Yeah I know I'm sad)
I watched your video. Nice setup. I would definitely recommend acoustic treatments. They made all the difference in my room. Especially because of how small it is. Bass used to give me a headache, now it’s crisp and clean. I love how much more sound is localized and punchy
