Does the usb c port on the SmallRig 4292 VB99 Pro offer the same w output? And can you get the output higher by using the d-tap to dc or a d-tap to USB c cable to make sure you are able to use more of the lights capacity. Even 100 percent perhaps?
THIS...WAS... GREAT!! Man, thanks so much for this preset. I recently picked up this lens by trading my sigma 85mm for the blue flare Saturn...I think it's a win. lol.
Hi, Thank you for your videos! I wanted to ask, if you were to choose your first anamorphic lens for the Sony a7Siii, which one would you pick? Best regards,
Thank you! Glad you asked. Just made a full review video on that projector mount. It’s this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-H3JT-t9c1HE.htmlsi=Me4fTyk-gt8F28Hi
Zoom lens produce less light. Even with 300w constant light, fix focal lens reduce the power by 1-2 stop, what more with the zoom lens. I'm using Ambitful AL-18 Pro, it's very light and I can attach a generic 0.43x wide angle lens filter to make the projection bigger.
My main concern is how wide the 18° beam is on this one. I have a Neewer with a fixed 20° beam, but it doesn't seem wide enough in my small studio. The light effect doesn't cover the entire body over a distance of 20 feet, and when I want to create a window effect to the side of the model, 8 feet away, the effect is too small to achieve the look I'm going for. Hope u doing a video compare how wide is it from 18-36 of this one
I have a fairly small studio. My light source was about 10 ft in the talking head video here. I think you mean 36 degrees? For this model, the higher the number the wider the effect. 36 degrees was plenty large enough, and the room I'm working with is little less than 20 ft in length and the wall size is about 11ft. Hope that helps.
will it work for strobe? how much clearance is there inside the main body for a flashtube? Probably not enough for a halogen/incandescent modeling lamp, but something like an AD400/600?
Good question Nick. I just measured it for you. It’s 3 inches exactly from the base of the mount. I don’t have an ad400/600 but assuming that’s too tight.
I used a 300w light at about 80% power but with “caution”. It depends on how hot the light runs even before the attachment. Always good to test before the shoot but I completely understand why Sirui lowered that number. Originally it was 300w. It’s because people like me. 😁
Any way to turn a group of these lights on/off without having to rely on BT connection and a mobile? Like turn on/off through some remote, or via AC power on/off. Thanks!
@@SePark can I be candid (excuse the pun) Mr Park? I don’t mean to go wee wees on anyone’s fireworks, but I did an experiment filming a miniature railroad layout. I used a vape and a high frame rate then slowed it down and got some really good results. Of course that cheap trick will only work on miniatures, but if your buying a mini smoke machine, your probably filming miniatures. I said miniatures far too many times, but you know what I mean.
@@StarWarsJay that's awesome! Haha I thought that might be up your alley. Vape works for miniatures. This one is between that and a big plug-in kind that can fill a whole room. I'm sure someone with a vape would say they can fill up the whole room too. LOL
@@SePark lol those same ones that make sure you know they’ve been vaping long before everyone else including you? 42 years old on a skateboard? I know him. He’s a real connoisseur 😂 You’re right about the smoke machine. It’s actually a nifty bit of kit.
Awesome content ! But god ! That thing are expensive, i use a cheap 500 lumens acer hd Projector, i animate my shapes and colors in after effects (a la projection mapping) 🫣🫣
@@SeParkDude i have the Nanlite Pj BM 36 Degrees and that thing lives on my C-Stand because of how extremely heavy that thing is this Sirui is looking very good 👍
I'm getting the Viltrox today. Can't wait. Had the Tamron and mine was insanely slow. Viltrox budget lenses are slower than Sony but the Tamron was the slowest to focus.
Excellent review. It would be great if you could use your influence with manufacturers like Zhiyun to convince them to make tube lights with removable batteries so we could fly with them in checked baggage. These lights would be useful for location work, but they're too big and heavy to carry on, and with the built in batteries, they are not really supposed to be put in checked baggage. Nice to see you back!
Hey Bob, that’s a really good point. I am a huge fan of replaceable batteries on lights and on gimbals. I’ll talk to them about it. Great to be back and being on the comment section. Thanks for stopping by!
Haha I'm glad you get to at least know what's out there. You don't need every gear on this channel, but when you need it, you know where to find it! LOL
@@SePark I couldn’t afford everything on the channel if I wanted it, but your right, I know what to get when I need it. Any chance of a review on a probe light? That’s something I really need. If any probe light manufacturers are reading this, please send Mr Park a free one 😄
@@StarWarsJayI have a similar problem. I can’t afford to review more lights. 😂😂😂 I need to stop spending money to make these videos 😁 But one of these days I hope to talk about something you are looking for that day.
@@SePark mate! They don’t give you freebies? That’s an outrage. How many people have seen products you’ve showcased? Is there a subscriber threshold you need to meet before firms send review products?
@@StarWarsJay haha brands provide the gear most times. I always try to create the best video I can, which means I hire people and spend my own money for production. You know standing out on RU-vid is not easy. 😁
hey ! thanks for explaining those things! I also have the same gimbal and ive noticed that when I use the light the gimbal stops working. have you experienced it too?
Thank you very much for the video,Se! Yesterday I saw some photos taken with the Sony A72 and the Viltrox 20 mm f2.8,and they blew me away! If I bought a Sony full frame camera, maybe the Sony A7C,I would definitely buy this lens.
I have Japan vlog (also travel) channel, and because of your video I'm gonna get the Viltrox. This short review is reaaaally nice!! Congrats and keep it up! My today specs is A7S (First Generation) and the 16-50mm F3.5 using crop mode LOL
Usually polarizer takes 2 stops at max value, let's say that over that the ND is at his minimum of 1.5, so the overall exposure is -3.5 stops right? for H&Y
