What a beautiful and talented woman. Remember people, if you're depressed and down, there are always people who love you and will miss you. Taking the easy way out makes it harder for those who cant easily let you go. Ive seen loves ruined from people un aliving themselves and its something the person would never have wished for them. Please keeo your head up, its tough, i know, but whats bad about today can lead to a happy tomorrow. You just gotta stick around to see it.
Its sad no many how many of these stories we hear, we put the onus on the sufferer to reach out. They usually can't. And lets face it, we're all too caught up in our own things to care until it's too late.
While this video is well done, please remember that her family consists of real people with feelings. They don't want your questions or comments in their dms.
The fact that Matt and Trey are known for their crude humour in South Park shows more dignity and love for Mary than "I created your childhood" Butch Hartman says a lot about Butch as a human being.
I like how she was spitting facts about hating how pc everything is forced to be because we’ve come full circle in the worst fucking way… Back then everything was pc due to pressure from bullshit religious cults. Nowadays everything is overly pc due to bullshit social media cults…And keep in mind these dumb mfs are on opposite sides lol
I have a more or less hard case of depression, anxiety and low self-esteem since I'm atleast 9 years old (currently 24) and i personally don't want any help, I'm just looking how far i can push it until i say "nope, that's it". Don't understand me wrong, i have antidepressants, but they don't really work that well... or at all. Still, let's look where the journey is going and how far i can push it.
To everyone gushing over her tragedy, I can almost guarantee you’ve got someone in your life suffering at this very moment. Go be an actual support instead of a pandering internet bleeding heart for someone you never even knew.
No she wasn't. Ending it before even TRYING to let your husband know what's going on is selfish. I'm tired of a lot of people with depression going in with a bitter attitude when it comes to seeking help. Showing up for a week, not putting in the effort and then going "i tried, didn't help." I've seen it time and time again now. If you want to be bitter for the rest of your life, go ahead. But don't act like theres no people out there that can help you get better. Other people with depressing who are willing are not beyond saving.
Hey, it ain’t pointless. Sure a lot of people aren’t great at it but going “nobody can help” that right there makes things twice as bad as they should be, trapping yourself in a cage and ignoring the key will only make things way worse for you and you don’t want things to get worse because it makes you go into tunnel vision shutting out many paths out
What Butch said just really strikes me as odd. It wasn’t anything against Mary Kay, but like a strange accusation of some kind against Tara. No one would just say something like that out of the blue for no reason. We clearly don’t have the full story on what was happening with MK before her death, and Butch obviously knew her better than any of us do. Maybe there was some behind-the-scenes drama between VAs that Butch knew about and was trying to slyly hint at? I can’t think of any other reason for him to say what he did the WAY he did. And to be fair, Tara has arguably been one of the biggest benefactors of MK’s untimely passing. She quickly became the female VA that was everywhere and in everything after MK’s passing. Makes you think ...
To those complaining about Butch's comment, Mary would have loved it! After all, they made fun of everyone on SP so it's totally fine he said that. Granted, it wasn't funny and super cringe, but let's stop acting like THAT comment was the one that crossed the proverbial line.
Starts video off with clip of her saying "we make fun of everything, nothing is sacred", and south park literally has madd plenty of jokes about suicide, jokes about people who have recently died, and has episodes where the boys literally tell people they should kill themselves, then talks about how disgusting it is that someone she worked with 20 years later tries to make a joke about it. Maybe he is a terrible person, maybe he isnt and this is a coping mechanism, i dont know much about the guy, but this was a wierd way to present that information, when literally the entire premise of south park which is the focal point of this video, is dark humor where nothing is off limits. So wierd when even the most "i dont get offended" people then decide where the line is drawn and choose to be offended.
i like the sht butch made but i hate him as a person.. how can you just mock the suicide of one of the people that helped make you semi-famous? genuinely messed up
She was the voice of MULTIPLE major/popular characters and versatile as HECK, yet doubted herself and let anxiety of the future destroy her. That one seed of dubiety blinded her from the huge & prosperous future that was waiting for her😞. She most def would've still been with South park today(26 seasons and counting) and most definitely would've had other gigs due to her talent and experience! Bro WHY!!??
I'm watching from Germany and on my Phone - not only did RU-vid warn me beforehand that the video would deal with suicide, the app is also showing me information on a German mental health crisis hotline ("Telefonseelsorge") in German, with a big "Anruf"/"Call" button right below the video, which I obviously haven't clicked, but assume would connect me directly with the hotline. They're also noting that it is free of charge, anonymous and available around the clock. I don't have much to add, just felt like sharing what I think is a very thoughtful feature of the RU-vid app and one I hadn't seen before.
I sing blame Canada all the time because a kid (yes bad parenting idc) I watched the hell out of that south park movie I still sing blame Canada glad I know I’m kinda honoring this woman while doing that
