Unfortunately 1 thing most people like 80% miss/forget about. Hot things like peppers affect people and other things but birds and goats dont feel the heat or goats dont care but birds truly dont feel the heat. So who's to say an alien can feel the heat who's to say what is hot to us is poison to them. Or what is sweet like artificial sugar is sweet but not completely safe its mostly safe for people might be down right harmful to them killing them in minutes.
well - the other commenter meant "not bad as feared" - i am at 4:30 and bored to death with typical AI-wording… why you guys don't learn to use the AI-vomit only as base and don't smoothing out the repetitive wording and paragraphs‽
Not as bad but I still could not finish it. Where is the core in a fish tank ? If they are true eco systems there is no emergency to fix filters. These people clearly can't be trusted to run an aquarium. Critical systems failing 3 to 4 times a day.
I like to pretend the X and Z named aliens are hostile or were hostile when humanity met them. It's an easy way for terrans to know how to approach the aliens.
Just once I'd like to hear a story that does not have this line: The war was far from over Every single story I have heard has this line in it somewhere. The names of characters are often the same. It's like there is a finite pool of names and phrases that keep getting used over and over and over. Honestly, I think I'm done listening to these stories. They are pretty much all the same. It's boring now, so I'm out.
could have been a nice story, but terms like: the earth will not be underestimated gives me the feeling that I am in an audio novel made at the time of the Third Reich, cheap and hackneyed, with better wording, less pompous like this be a decent story.
Haha, I'm glad it brought some laughter! Sometimes the grand piano just needs a more dramatic entrance, even if it starts as a suitcase. Thanks for enjoying the ride with us! We'll keep working on those transformations. 😉
What's with this using the plural of they and their when referencing a individual,,,,,he him these are for an individual,,,more of this woke crap and you lose a dedicated listener
Hey, I get where you're coming from. Using "they" as a singular pronoun can feel a bit off if you're not used to it, but it's actually been around for centuries as a way to refer to someone when their gender isn't specified or known. It's kind of like a trusty tool in the language toolbox! Hope you stick around, and thanks for sharing your thoughts. We're all learning and adapting together.
They has been used as a singular non-gendered pronoun in English for a very long time in its evolution as a language. Singular they is not a new thing. I'm sure you've used it yourself without realizing it.
Wait! A Grand piano in a case small enough for a human to carry around and the assemble when needed!?? Does the AI have any idea how many pieces or how big a Grand piano is?? Guess not if that humongous error made it to the story.
Haha, I see where you're coming from! The idea of a grand piano fitting into a suitcase does sound a bit like something out of a sci-fi comedy. Maybe the AI was aiming for a bit of humor or a twist on reality. Who knows, maybe in the future, we'll have foldable pianos! Thanks for pointing that out-I'll be sure to pass the feedback along. Keep enjoying the story and its quirks!
@@vanguard9067, how do? Are you talking about the number of keys or the timbre of each note? The sound of the harpsichord is very unique and based on the idea that certain sounds could facilitate healing, induce sleep, alter moods, and other things. Something the modern piano cannot do.
Right? Imagine their reactions to the intricate sound of the harpsichord-alien minds blown! They might just trade in their futuristic gadgets for a chance to jam on one. Thanks for the fun thought, and keep enjoying the musical twists in the story! 🎶👽
@@johnruckman2320 I am am talking about the musical range of notes, number of octaves. The piano also has the capability to play softly and loudly (piano forte) as the combination of a percussion and stringed instrument, whereas the harpsichord as only a plucked stringed instrument cannot do. The harpsichord is not “based on the idea…” historically. That is a modern assessment, and something many players and listeners of the piano would also claim.
@@Hfy.nebula Imagine aliens hearing a pipe organ with over 30,000 pipes, seven manuals, and numerous pedal claviers, able to recreate the sound of multiple instruments. For more than 1,000 years the organ was the most complex mechanical device on the planet.
I’m confused. How many humans? Sounds like just Alex but the writer keeps saying they and their. Hard to follow. Did the aliens practice with him in his quarters? Or is the writer trying to use a plural pronoun in the singular. Had to stop at 3:33 in due to grammar issues. Too bad, the story sounded interesting.
Hey, I totally understand the confusion. The use of "they" as a singular pronoun can trip people up, especially when it's not clear from the context. It’s often used when the gender of the person isn't specified or known. In this case, it sounds like the writer is referring to Alex with "they" as a singular pronoun. The aliens practicing with Alex in his quarters could definitely use some clarification. I’ll pass this along to the author for sure! Thanks for your feedback, and I hope you give the story another shot. It’s got some great twists and turns!
I hear you on that one! "Cacophony" does seem to pop up a lot, doesn't it? It's like the go-to word for any chaotic noise. Maybe we need to mix it up a bit-throw in some "din," "ruckus," or even "hubbub" to keep things fresh. Thanks for pointing it out! Your feedback is always appreciated. Keep enjoying the stories!
@@inkchariot6147 You cannot fit a grand piano in a suitcase transportable by one person, even a disassembled one. They are transported by taking off legs and pedals, moving the entire body of the grand piano (normally fitted to a trolley or carried by a few people), and screwing the legs and the pedals back on at the destination. Has the author never seen a grand piano? Has the author, perhaps, mistaken it for a synthesiser? The synthesiser can be carried in a suitcase by one person - but it doesn't sound nearly as good as an actual grand piano - even with all the technology we have now.
Haha, yeah, a grand piano in a suitcase does sound pretty wild! Maybe the author was going for some sci-fi humor or a bit of magical realism there. It's definitely a memorable image, though! Thanks for catching that-sometimes the imagination runs a bit too far ahead. Hope the rest of the story hits the right notes for you! 🎹😄
Hey, I totally get your point. Writing about something as specific as nursing without the right background can definitely lead to gaps in accuracy. Sometimes writers take creative liberties, but it’s important to get the details right, especially with professions that require such skill and dedication. I'll make sure to pass on the feedback so we can strive for better realism in future stories. Thanks for your insight, and I hope you find more to enjoy as you read on!
You'll have to scratch your brains with your tentacles wondering which one it is, observing Alex's body and trying to remember all you know about human sexual dimorphism...
Absolutely! Can't forget the boogie-woogie-it’s the perfect way to get those aliens grooving! Imagine them trying to keep up with those infectious rhythms. Thanks for the awesome suggestion! Keep the great ideas coming and enjoy the story! 🎶🕺👽
Haha, that's a good catch! "Practice deficiency" might be a typo or a quirky twist. It's no wonder the crew was struggling if they were deficient in practice! I'll pass this along for a fix. Thanks for the sharp eyes, and hope you keep enjoying the story with all its quirks!
Glad you enjoyed the story! Yeah, it can be a bit jarring when names like "Valkyrie" are mispronounced. Proofing and pronunciation checks are super important, and it sounds like we missed the mark on that one. Thanks for pointing it out! We'll make sure to tighten up on those details in the future. Keep the feedback coming, and happy reading!
Why do so many of these stories repeat themselves at some point in the video? This story was actually pretty good until about 9 minutes in when the story began to repeat everything from the 6 minute 47 second point. I'm giving this story thumbs down for that reason. I'm not going to listen to the rest either. I have come across this kind of repeating fairly often, and it's quite irritating. It makes me feel like my time has been waisted 👎
I hear you, and that sounds really frustrating. Repetition like that can definitely take you out of the story and waste your time. It’s likely a technical glitch in the recording or editing process. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. I'll make sure this feedback gets passed on so we can work on improving the quality and avoid these issues in the future. Appreciate your patience and hope you find more stories that keep you engaged!
