Just beat Daybreak 1, and I kind of felt the side content was the most underwhelming out of the modern trails this past decade I'm glad to see that they changed it for Daybreak 2, though I heard the story was okish
I also recommend the series even if I dont agree with everything said (FC is amazing, fight me). Sky, Crossbell and now Daybreak are imo among the best jrpgs out there and the continuous worldbuilding and ovearcing storytelling is pretty much unsurpassed in the genre. I am much more lukewarm on the cs arc, especially its main lead and the type of storytelling they chose, going in a much more generic shounen high school harem anime kind of way and I do think the overall writing has taken a dip from Ao untill Reverie (which has the absolutely amazing C route, even tho I am not a fan of the route system). But overall if you enjoy jrpgs, good stories, good characters and continuous evolving world that you can lose yourself in, this is THE series to go for.
4:10 someone actually did kh rechain on lv1 without ever getting much or any more cards actually.. or at least.. as many restrictions as they could.. and uh.. yeah.. it took them SUPER long to do prob not recommended at all to do (prob super hard or at least.. super long)
So, the reason young xehanort was considered the hardest boss in the game and, at the time it came out on 3ds, one of the hardest non-optional bosses in the series is because on the 3ds version he was just harder, he had an extra bar of hp in both phases of his fight, the reality shift to stop the fight reset was a bit of a mess of clarity on top of the boss already being incredibly hard so it was easy to for your hand to jitter just enough to chuck it and have the fight reset because, oops, it was on a touch screen and hand jitters will ruin you, and because of the extra hp in the second phase it was very common to time out and have to reset the whole fight at least once just to lower his total hp enough for it to be manageable. Add to that the dream eaters not being well known enough on release to know which ones you needed for important skills like once more and second chance or how to farm the fragments needed for the better dream eaters since those were tied to the extremely RNG special portals which could easily take over a hundred drop resets just to see all of them CASUALLY, and it's a perfect storm for making an extremely tough ending boss. Now that the game has been remastered for console and PC, he has less health in both phases, the clarity issues with his reality shift were completely fixed since now his reality shift is the same one as TWTNW, the reality shift isn't on a touch screen so jittery hands can't ruin your attempt, dream eaters are much better known now so it's relatively easy to blitz through to get the best ones with all the skills and spells you want to survive the fight AND the fight isn't taking place on a 4 inch screen so you have just more room to keep up with what he's doing visually. On the 3ds version he is the hardest boss in the game and easily one of the hardest story bosses in the series, but on the remaster he's been toned down a fair bit to the point where the Riku final boss gauntlet of black cloak nightmare and ansem 1 and 2 are way harder, since they have mechanics and health pools that would make them super bosses in the original releases of kh 1 and 2 and are incredibly hard in the remaster AND the original 3ds version, though the black cloak nightmare is the hardest of the 3 on the 3ds since the perfect tracking heartless angel that can't be blocked or jumped, is unavoidable in melee range and heals the boss up to 4 bars of hp is, get this, REALLY HARD to keep track of on a 4 inch screen.
How in the name of all that’s sane and holy did you manage to defeat Ansem II (the one in the tree) in KH1 on Level 1?! I am on Beginner mode, level 56, and can’t beat him after over 500 attempts.
I love your videos. I’ve never played Eldon ring before, so I really had no idea what the heck you’re talking about, but listening to this stuff like a podcast gets me through my graveyard shift. You even got me to try and complete a KH2 Level 1 run. You’re awesome. Keep up the awesome work.
8:47 yea that’s just the normal kingdom hearts 1 experience. First time playing it and my god it’s awful. Just wandering around aimlessly until a cutscene starts to play. Traverse town was horrible, wonderland was horrible and so was the Tarzan one.
For anyone struggling with Saïx, block his initial attack, get him out if his berserk state with his claymore, then summon Peter Pan. Jump and attack hin once, and drop. Peter Pan will attack afterwards. Repeat until he is about to be defeated, then complete a combo. This also works with his Data Battle as well
the entire series is available on pc and playable/verified for steam deck. I prefer jrpg's on handheld (ever since pokemon red) so it's great to have an entire series all on one platform, that's playable both on pc and on deck.
What's awesome about KH2FM CRITICAL is that on Data Reorg fights, you can be lv99 and use ultima weapon... it doesn't matter, you still deal chip damage and get put at 1HP from a single attack... You pretty much MUST learn no-hit strategies or you will fail on repeat.
I’m a huge from soft player, recently beat the dlc at level 1 for the second time. After that I saw your videos and decided to try kingdom hearts level 1 crit. Finished the second game and I’m on the data fights for the third (having never played either on anything besides beginner, and on the third game…… no prior playthroughs so no keyblades unlocked or extra moves from beating the game) I think KH has been LEAGUES more difficult because of the mob sections. I also feel like there are some bosses that feel a bit rng until learning the positions to avoid those circumstances. Would love to hear your opinion of difficulty of Elden ring dlc compared to KH runs, although I know you still haven’t done level 1 for elden ring yet
Obviously not including beginner or normal for kingdom hearts since I think we all know that’s child’s play. Never would’ve thought the game was SO GOOD with the challenge or could be so difficult
I'm not that good at Fromsoft games like I am with KH, honestly part of the reason I even did the KH level 1 thing was because it's the series I know the best. Also I kinda don't really find fromsoft level ones as engaging since it's more of a traditional rpg in lieu of stats and whatnot and kh gives you more leeway, they're really fun to watch though Even from a casual level I'd still say Elden DLC bosses aren't as hard as like kh3 my first memories of fighting yozora and losing for a whole day are still pretty vivid
@@myriadbIadesthanks for the reply Josh. Honestly I never found elden ring that hard to begin with. When I tell people about level 1 runs folks say I must be a gaming god but kh2-3 at level 1 made me feel like I was an infant
