Great video! One thing thing I've always wondered (and this might be due to a misunderstanding of prevenient grace and total depravity) why would God make depravity the consequence of sin if he's just going to use prevenient grace to cancel it out? It's like solving the equation x +2 = 5 by first adding 3 to each side to get x + 2 + 3 = 5 +3, then turning around and subtracting 3 from each side to get right back to x + 2 = 5. Why take the extra steps? Wouldn't it make more sense to make the consequences of sin something less than total depravity in the first place?

I want you to know I went down a massive rabbit hole trying to understand the difference between the Church of Christ that I was more familiar with, the ones that don't use instruments, with the Church of Christ Holiness denomination of CP Jones. Your explanation of the composer on this melody is excellent. I very much enjoyed listening and watching your information that you have so freely shared with all of us. This is truly an amazing Hynm and I love listening to The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square sing this song. If you watch their rendition of this beautiful Hynm on RU-vid you can see tears streaming down the cheeks of some of the young ladies singing. Your wholesome and kind demeanor shine through as a beaming light straight from the heavens above. Thank you for all the time you put into your videos and allowing everyone to take part in gathering good clean knowledge and inspiration from all of your hard work. God Bless you and keep you just the way you are.

This hymn was written by Edward Perronet the most commonly sung tune for this hymn is CORONATION by Oliver Holden. Many Lutheran Hymnal Versions (including the Lutheran Book of Worship, hymn 328). The tune DIADEM by James Ellor is the most commonly sung tune in many Baptist congregations). The Lutheran Hymnal as well, include Miles Lane which is not used as much I am surprised that DIADEM was not submitted when the LBW was created in the 1970s.

I would say celebrate the not scary parts of Halloween and also observe and learn about Reformation Day in the morning or afternoon before you go to trick-or-treating or to a Halloween party and then talk about All Saints Day the next day. I am primarily a toy collector of toys from my childhood (mid to late 2000's), but I'm also trying to post additional content about God as well. Maybe you could help me with that a little. I have been waiting for approval from my subscribers who I'm worried are atheists, as they do not talk about church any on their channel, but I hope I'm wrong. I really like to collect toy teapots and I'm a little teapot is my favorite song (in general) if no genre is specified. Did you know teapots and tea originally came from places like China and India (very un-Christian societies at the time), but we still like to drink tea and sing the I'm a little teapot song and it doesn't un-glorify God, if we do it right. Some people might find an inappropriate means for that song to be sung, most irreverently. Even better, I have found Christian meanings for that song online and for teapots in general, but I would assume the ghosts, goblins, vampires, monsters and witches of Halloween have no Christian purpose and go very much against God, except the holy ghost which is not scary, but maybe to those who don't repent of their sins because of God's wrath for the unrepentent. For that reason, Halloween stuff like that should be avoided. Spiders and bats may be okay though, because "all" animals were created by God. I'm trying to find a Christian meaning to the song Pat a Cake if one can be thought of or found just like the teapot song. Could you think about that please and tell me in a comment. No meanings for that song have been found online, and we need to try and find a Christian meaning to it now. I'm sorry I'm going off topic, but as a kind and jolly Methodist who serves God over and over and sometimes thanks him unexpectedly, I like to tell you about the things I like and relate them to God. I don't talk about personal stuff here, because I don't have any need to. I only invited you to visit or check out our church because we should go and make of all disciples and bring more and more people to Christ. Now I kindly ask a request of you. Could you please pray for the company which made a very special toy to me called the Cosy Cottage talking tea set? Also pray that I find it in a comment and other toys. Please also pray over the big companies like Fisher Price, Leapfrog, Playskool, and Vtech. I don't know the company name who made that other toy teapot, and therefore I don't know how they feel about Jesus Christ, or if they even know about him but I do think they should accept him. Please reply to this whole comment if you can. I think everything I have said is very important and I'd love to hear your thoughts too. I hope I'm not getting too personal or talking too much about things not related to this video, but I think all of what I have said here is important and I thank the Lord here and now for him giving me the ability to write it all out.

@@EnHymn swing style, dotted rhythms
@EnHymn
@EnHymn 4 месяца назад
Great! Two quick tips and some thoughts for how I would go about developing a better swing style, hopefully they're helpful! 1. Make sure we're listening to Swing Music: Immerse yourself in swing music to develop a natural feel for the rhythm. Think Big Band, Jazz. Pay attention to how the instruments, especially the drums and bass, create the swing groove. 2. Understand Swing Feel: Swing rhythm is often described as having a "long-short" feel, where the first note in a pair of eighth notes is longer than the second. This creates that laid-back, syncopated groove that people talk about. I'd start with maybe one bell and see if I could apply what you hear in other swing music and this idea of "long-short", just the rhythm, before moving on to two bells, one in each hand. Pick smaller bells so that you don't get tired out too quickly. The exercise I'm thinking of would essentially be something super simple, Then I would make sure I could do the "long-short" rhythm idea in one hand by itself, switch to the other hand by itself, and then pass the rhythm between hands. Then, and only then, would I start to apply this to my actual music. What I would be looking for when applying this to my actual bell music is any eighth notes, that's really where the swing happens. If the eighth note is on the beat it's a long note, and if it's on the "and" it's a short note. Does that make sense?

I'll help you out. I finished this video. And I'm like Arminian and believe people can fail salvation from this scripture I found Galatians 5:19-21 that when sinning that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians was Paul's teachings, proves it can fail eternal salvation. Grandpa believed he couldn't go to Hell, and Arminians believe he could. I'm against suicide. I was depressed also to suicidal. I almost did suicide as a 5-Point Calvinist. And these scriptures got me more hope. I became more Arminian now from these scriptures I posted on here. I believe people can fail salvation. Loving God is wanting to be useful for him much. What if a person could do that much of his time? And I enjoy working from this. People who enjoy working. When it's more likely to be boring to non-Christians. New American Standard Bible (NASB) Mark 9:33 (V)They came to Capernaum; and when He was in (W)the house, He began to question them, "What were you discussing on the way?" . Mark 9:34 But they kept silent, for on the way (X)they had discussed with one another which of them was the greatest. . Mark 9:35 Sitting down, He called the twelve and said to them, "(Y)If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all." . This is for Christian world domination. Why to raise kids Christians. God Son Jesus said similarly to whoever is useful the most is the best merited of the apostles. Useful merit for eternal rewards and competition with other Christians. With God Son Lord Jesus Christ faith teaching, people will want to be useful for the kingdom of Heaven, which usefulness happens on Earth and if any other place. We need to help this world as much as we can! This text could motivate, supposed to be Christian people, to do all types of usefulness. Chores, volunteering, grade school, high school, college, and work. Good people, this world needs them.
@EnHymn
@EnHymn 11 месяцев назад
Interesting idea, I’d like to understand better what you mean by fail salvation and what merit means to you. I’d caution you against using Mark 9 as a support text for this idea, because the reward of Jesus’ teaching here is the reward of salvation, and that means first humbling yourself. I’m not saying the idea is wrong, just that this scripture doesn’t support the claim. It also seems that Jesus might just be referencing himself here, last and a servant to all. It’s a call to humble yourself in the likeness of Christ, but he’s the only last that became first, it’s a role we can’t fill. By our very nature, our default behavior is to bring glory to ourselves, and many confuse this with doing good (which might merit something). I’m reminded of Matthew 7: ““Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭21‬-‭23‬ ‭ESV‬‬ So, the teaching here is pretty clear, that some might confuse the “good works” they’re doing as if it merits salvation, but it masks the fact that they never were known by Jesus. Danger. Being useful is great, but to an almighty God, who can be truly useful? The Bible is full of stories of useless people who’s only redeeming quality was they knew God and trusted in Him.

Depends on what you mean by SB. Part of the Baptist tradition in general is that local congregations are autonomous, and as a result have widely varying theologies and practices. You might attend a Baptist church that is practically a Reformed church, and down the street is one that’s Charismatic. Because the SBC is a convention of autonomous churches, it doesn’t mean much uniformity at the local level. For context, I was serving at a Methodist church when I made the video, and I’m trying to understand the Wesleyan idea of grace and it’s stages as it pertains to salvation and beyond.

Nope, pretty much any mainline Christian denomination that uses paraments or colors for worship or follows parts of the Christian calendar. Now the local church body that you attend might not change what’s on the walls in the sanctuary or around the church or follow the church calendar, some reformed churches and many Pentecostal churches don’t, but even they hold to the symbolic use of red as sacrifice and white as purity around the time of Easter. Maybe your choir changes their stole colors for Easter or you put out Easter lilies in the church or in the sanctuary in honor of the big day, or maybe you do poinsettias for Christmas. Maybe you light colored candles leading up to It’s all symbolic, the colors mean something and are used on purpose.
