Hello everyone I’m Christina! I’m a recent college graduate trying to figure out life like everyone else. Come along the journey with me as I document my real estate and career journey, as well as my self-development journey as I try to become the best version of myself. I recently relocated to Atlanta from Indianapolis and will share the tips and tricks that I’ve picked up along the way that make life a little easier. I Hope you enjoy!
Sunday reset and getting my life together, Heiress Christina. Hey. I"m back. And I'm back. And I'm back and I'm watching you. I'm seeing you. That is half the battle right? Getting seen. That is what it is all about......... I like what I see. Very cool. Very cool. You did a good job with this one. Great video! I am and I continue to be a proud subj7scriber to your channel. I am and I continue to be. Hopefully I look familiar to you. I want you to recognize me as a returning person to your stuff. I am an advocate on this platform for engaging with others and supporting one another. And returning love and reciprocating feedback. I think that kind of community on here is what we need. If there were more people like me, you might have an extra 1,000 fans and friends to your channel; right now. Extra. I truly am being sincere when I write that. Let me get half the battle too. Let me know that you see me. Who knows you might even like one of videos there.
Thanks so much for your insights! I think it's important to specify where exactly you've experienced this in Georgia. In terms of the people, not everyone is about money and there are plenty of genuine people, too. I think it largely depends on where people reside. I just don't want to discourage people from coming to GA when they can experience something positive! I value your perspective though! It just varies depending on location! Visiting to see if you like it is a great way to get a sense!
As a black person I don’t want to living with predominantly black people.. You can see from not even living with our people how wicked we are to one another
I know you got your routine down pact but I would also recommend to make sure you fully cleanse your hair. You want shampoo to fully cover your head and strains. And do it twice. That and less oil and you will see a big diff in ur silk press and just overall hair appearance and health🫶🏾 love the content btw new sub 😊
As a Georgia Native, ATL has always been what you're describing. What alot of people come to find out when they move to ATL, is that ATL is not an accurate representation of Georgia. 2 totally different types of people. I work in ATL, but commute back to North Georgia because of this, and I'm much happier doing that. But, there isn't alot of good to say about the city, even the professional side. I would tell anyone, be very careful. Stick to your morals when you come here. Or you'll get pulled into any thing.
I lived in riverdale my hometown was 2 hours away in Alabama , I’ve never met anybody that’s from Atlanta except from my homeboy from east atlanta. That’s why Atlanta is trash 90% of the people I meet there is not from there
Funny black people moving out of Atlanta and white people see opportunities Movie industry Home Depot Ups Coca Cola Delta IT companies moving here but blacks are running. I have never seen so many white people in Atlanta I grew up here so I’m biased but I deal pretty much with black people in business here I don’t have to guess if I will be discriminated on that’s my two cents 4:31
Atlanta native here! I felt the same way about ATL when I left for college in 2013. I moved back post-pandemic and was pleasantly surprised by my experience as an adult. I’ve met some really good people on my job and at church. I live in the North Atlanta area. The people you surround yourself with will make or break your experience in a place. I think you have to be strategic about how you move here. I lay low, take my time making friends, and do my research before I patronize a place. The customer service does suck so I read reviews before I go somewhere. I’m also selective about the events I go to because I know what kind of vibe it’s gonna give based on the flyer and location. That comes with experience though. And for the dark cloud comments, every major city has spiritual principalities. I will say Atlanta has gotten darker over the years but that’s reflective of the times we’re living in. Also the growth of the movie industry here and their Hollyweird vibes doesn’t help. I limit my participation in the night life here for that reason because things get weird at night. I think you gotta know what your dealing with in the city your living in and move accordingly. Atlanta ain’t for everyone. Stay prayed up and pray for discernment because it gives wild Wild West out here 😂
#1) Use Google Maps from now on to get back and forth to work. You'll have to adjust the settings so that it will ALWAYS give you the fastest routes. Also, don't be afraid to go the city route if you normally take the highways to work. Doing so might mean the difference in you sitting in traffic for an extra 20 minutes or not. #2) See about downloading some parking apps so that you can find a decent place to park when you need to. I'd imagine that $10 or $15 for parking is a bit better than paying $70 + to get a boot off of your car. #3) You're a grown woman, but it might do you some good to just make your connections and get back home/be on chill mode as much as possible. If you, yourself, are feeling an uneasy vibe down there.... chances are it's because they're more focused on money than on God. For the most part, we're still "lost". If the rest of your family is back in Indiana, how will they know if something happens to you? Take care of yourself, young lady.
Everything you say is gold. Don’t doubt your feelings. I’m 55. I grew up in Stone Mtn…moved into ATL the city at 15yrs old. Was a popular singer for years. Last time I left there for good it was 2008. Each time I went back..the place and a lot of friends sux. However’ I want you to know it was not always like that. In 1996 the Olympics came..hardcore gentrification started and…….here comes the real root of fake….young film makers aktors and every other megalomaniac in that field figured out that they didn’t have to pay huge union dollars to make a film in ATL like they did in NYC or LA. Get it? Our wonderful fun laidback town…albeit there were still huge racial issues….had been taken over by budding "filmmakers" that got the high rent costs..high food costs and all those stupid restaurants cost paid for by mommy and daddy. Also….do yourself a favor and learn, if you haven’t, about the M to M transfer that took place in the 80´s out in DeKalb County. ( learn the white and black perspective) Learn about the the black child murders & Wayne Williams (Watch the series Mindhunter) And, learn about Monica Kaufman and V103fm. Most the people that live in the ATL….never called it The ATL. It was Atlanta or Blacklanta. Those people are all old like me and they are dinsouars or they live some place else. If you are getting into your business…I’d go to Chi. People really work there and the black woman, be them African, Puerto Rican or Oromo…all work together. People in Chi are educated and focused. Iwant to live there agin. However, right now I live in STUPID Tucson. Me and my hubby call it Aribama. Cuz it’s true. Good Luck.
Super helpful! Thank you so so much for confirming what we were feeling. You’ve helped us not make a huge life change and mistake by moving there. Appreciate you so much! 💖✨🙌
It's a black sodom and gomorrah with vicious price gouging and scammers everywhere. Car break ins, burglaries, car jackings, home invasions, and chance robberies are the way of things. Also, it's a constitutional carry state, so anybody can be armed without even registering their gun. This strangely emboldens teens and adolescents that feel like it applies to them. Black female drivers are an ever present factor; I've seen the most ridiculous wreckage more times than I can number. It's the gay black capital, they're highly emboldened; they take creepshots of dudes in a disturbingly casual manner. Lesbian couples cannot not be seen everyday, everywhere, 99% black. You cannot find many sisters to date as a straight man, that don't also sleep with women; have an std; is a predator that'll go for your $ ANY way they can; or isn't an entitled, narcissistic man hater. Hood "culture" cannot be avoided; it's taken hold (since the pandemic) of every once upscale area in town. White folks have all but given up on going to it's best mall, Lenox; they have useless metal detectors, random brawls, robberies, and shootings there now. Most of pricey Midtown and a lot of pricier Buckhead is bougie, status seeking black folks with hood connections. Anywhere you go has the potential of a worldstar level situation breaking out. The train ride away for good was the sweetest time indeed.
If you want to pay for services using money, then hire the cable guy. If you are my woman, and you want your cable done, then you give up the cheeks. I don't understand the problem. ???
What are you people talking about? You sound like you have NEVER lived in a BIG CITY before.......this is no different from New York, LA, New Orleans or any other place that has more people fronting than they do working. How old are you people? If you want to go to school- move to Atlanta.....if you HAVE A CAREER and get a good offer- move to Atlanta....if you are not beginning, but ACTUALLY MAKING MOVES in the music/ entertainment business- move to Atlanta. NOW WITH THAT TYPED, if your a lame that has no direction and is easy influenced by a big booty or people that flash what they don't have (and you can't tell the difference).....then YES- STAY AWAY FROM ATLANTA AND ANY OTHER LARGE CITY. ROO DAWG
To be honest with you it’s something going on everywhere. I moved here from North Carolina and Black people hate on each other and mistreat each other…..ITS A SHAME!!!!!!
I feel it! Just moved here almost 10 months ago from N.O. and planning my next move. The BBL's are a serious thing down here as well; I thought it was just a saying to be funny, but no honey it really is a thing here, smh. I'm out after I finish my Master's.
Comparing Indiana to GA is a huge mistake. Ive been here since college, I live in the outskirts and I enjoy it. You are responsible for picking your circle and tribe.
I have lived in atlanta for 12 years and have lived in the south my entire life. overall I love atlanta but, yes, I would say you need to come down here with a purpose, a plan and some level of independent self esteem. if you're a follower or shallow, you will get swallowed up by this city. It works for me but, I can see how it could not for some.....and yes the low vibrational energy is a thing for sure. It's not everyone but, it is in alot of spaces, you gotta be open minded and suspicious at the same time lol .....good video for sure! accurate and it's okay, atlanta is very hard to describe ha ha.....if i see ya around town, i promise i'm not a scammer, i'm just a teacher and musician trying to pay my rent :)
