The Parable of the spices On a hillside of a foreign land the Sage was surrounded by a crowd of villagers. He told them: 'You are wise people because you use a lot of spices in your food. Unlike many people from the big cities who eat junk food and industrial food, you eat healthy meals rich with spices. Spices are like medicine to the body. Not only are the spices rich in flavor and taste good, they are also enriching the culinary experience and protect the body from all kinds of diseases. Spices should be consumed in a perfect balance. Too much spices can cause stomach cramps and too little spices cannot protect the body from bad health. A good cook always uses spices in a perfect balance with the food he makes. I tell you this because spices are like Aphorism. A Humanity without sacred wisdom is like food without spices. Spices are a source of medicine and joy for the body, just as aphorism is a source of medicine and joy for the soul. Those who live a serene and happy life also appreciate aphorism. Those who love spices are those who
There's something that's just dawned on me that when you pray and give thanks and praise to God like zechariah's did eventually God will come to you and let you know that he heard your prayer and he's going to give you the desires of your heart
This was a resurrection. The reason Jesus waited as long as he did was because Jewish customs say that a person is presumed dead only after 3 days. In waiting, the people could not argue that Lazarus was merely ill or sleeping, but that Jesus truly rose him from the dead.
@@mrslandorf3723 1 Corinthians 15:20-58 New International Version 20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.
@donhaddix3770 When readingI Scripture you should always make sure you are reading and interpreting it in the correct context. What Paul was saying was that Jesus was the first to rise from the dead and eventually return to the father. Lazarus was resurrected, but not to return to the father. You see all that died before Christ resided in “Abraham’s bosom” until Christ returned to his father. Paul was not claiming that Jesus was the first ever to be resurrected, but the first to be resurrected to the father, this being the sacrifice for our sins. Like I said it’s so important to understand the context of scripture.
Error Correction of the Input/Output System in the 2nd line of the comment above: "It's only about humility, but, rather, health, as we walk on our feet." should be: It's ^^ not ^^ only about humility... not "It's only about humility".
Thankyou Lord that your scriptural stories and parables be watched by many to provide education and teaching of your word. May these be an instrument/tool that advance your kingdom. In Yeshua’s name.
It goes over our head but not believing Gabriel was lowkey calling him a demon, a major insult to an angel that is part of the personal guard of The King
John Chapter 4 is an amazing declaration of The Mercy of The Lord Jesus to Samaritans, outcast in the sight of the Jews especially the Pharisees at that time. It is so amazing that The Lord Jesus directly revealed that He was The Messiah to the woman at the well.
That's exactly what brought me here; how could all the roman guards ignore another miracle of Jesus' performed before their very eyes and then arrest him as a blasphemer? It makes no sense and that miracle should have changed their minds and hearts to see Jesus as Son of GOD.
@mike42ohio Yes i think so too but these romans must have had a reality shock about Jesus and the falseness of their pagan "gods" Also it probably would have meant death to express this new faith Hopefully they at least could take it within their hearts!
Although He could have, Jesus did not manifest in the flesh to be served, many would have gladly done so, but He manifested in the flesh *to serve others* and is our example as Christians.
I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (March 19, 2023) John 4:7-15, 28-30, 39-41 was the basis for our Sunday School Lesson of the Day. It was entitled "Jesus Talks with a Samaritan." The hymn, "Wade in the Water," goes well with this passage of Scripture.
