This has the potential to be really good, so why did the choreographer veer from the story of the ballet....which is Chava with mama, and then with the sisters as a unit, until her sisters leave one by one and her being alone...then Fyedka coming in and Chava leaving the family...with all the girls leaving at the same time (Chava being FIRST?) with Sphrintze and Bielke being left is odd....I understand why the little one is waving at the end and being pulled away, but if someone has never seen the show, this would be confusing. Jerome Robbins' choreo is sent with the show, so why deviate from it?
Part of it was shouting or essentially sounding more like she's yelling at them instead of sticking strictly to the notes. It's an approach that some people take to that role as compared to others; both are really good (although the shouting one should be done right). I'm playing Fruma-Sarah in my high school production in 2 months and I'm trying to mix the two worlds 🤪
It would be appreciated if Guilbert ans Sullivan Group would settle your unpaid account from Basadi Womens Technical Productions from this show, its 6 months overdue.
