mcdonald's is a terrible establishment. it isn't good food, it isn't cheap, it isn't fun for the kids, it isn't a nice atmosphere for you to eat in, it isn't even fast & convenient (if the constant ridiculous lines weren't enough, the cook times themselves are egregiously long in comparison to other fast food), i see no reason to ever go to mcdonald's
To add context via faded memory to the "Battle" element of the first generation, I remember being given the instruction to knock my sibling's builds off to win. I feel like it may have been on a commercial or somewhere online for what online we had in 2002-2004 (this memory would be from 04/05). There must have been some kind of marketing or publicised conversation about the brand where a bunch of us heard it and grew up thinking it was the actual intention of the toys, or maybe there is plain out lost media? Later generations and the vertical loading launchers for the plastic balls were the best kind to use for mask-off contests.
To summarize, People initially thought the gum would actually make you feel things like an acid trip. Then everyone realized it's just gum, but it did last a long time and the packaging was nice so it was cool. Then they changed marketing tactics and made you completely forget about the gum altogether. Did Wrigley's learn nothing from the Quiznos commercials!? 😂😂😂
The real comparison: Why has Avatar failed to produce a fandom where The Nightmare Before Christmas essentially has a store dedicated to it in every U.S mall.
If corporations want customer-hostile environments, instead of removing everything fun for kids they should just let food service and retail employees settle disputes with customers with fisticuffs. That would actually be productive- it would weed out the shittier customers, encouraging a higher standard of clientele, and would double as marketing because you'd better believe that if my choices of where to eat all exploit underpaid overworked teenagers, you'd better believe I'm gonna pick the place that at least lets those workers kick the shit out of Karen.

I think this is a definitely a case of investors always demanding an increase on profits year on year instead of being happy with an already successful product which requires the advertisers and product makers to keep trying new things to grow their market share which eventually shittifies the product and the consumers move onto something else. It happens with everything, from games to movies to software. If it aint broke, dont fix it

i think its ok for (officially released) bionicle to stay in the past. it belongs to the fans now, and i think was such a product of its time that it simply wouldnt be the same today. we dont live in the same environment anymore. but this video has definitely inspired me to check out all the other bionicle media i missed out on, especially the games!
I think the fundamental reason is because these stories are about humanity being the villains and no matter how beautiful or emotionally manipulative these films can be, there is just no way you can compel peoples subconscious to turn against humanity itself unless you were at least as eco extremist as Cameron himself is.

As much as I loved Spongebob, Fairly Odd Parents, and Danny Phantom... Jimmy Neutron was the best overall in every way. The concept, creativity, main plot, characters, etc. It was such a fun show! I'm 29 years old today, but I'm still hoping this great series comes back. I love where it was heading with Jimmy and Cindy, and would love to see the show back! Listening to the cast here not lose their original voices at all brings me a lot of joy! I last binged the whole show again over 5 years ago. In 2017, I think. I really hope this show returns...
I was 9 year old boy in 2002, and I have NEVER heard of this thing. I sure as hell was familiar with Bionicle at the time and always went to the Lego department when we went to Walmart to see what new Bionicles there were, but I NEVER saw or heard anything about this.
I have like 9 sticks of gum in my backpack inside some plastic case. I think it's 5 gum. I couldn't tell you. That's not a good sign. Cool plastic case though, I guess.
