Sit back, kick up your feet, and have a Game Break :)
My name is Cody, and like a lot of you I love video games
On Game Break I'll review games, cover gaming news, react to and talk about game trailers, and even do some playthroughs
I love a wide variety of game genres, but RPGS are my first and one true love. And while I love RPGS of all different shapes and sizes Eastern RPGS would have to be my favorite
RPGS will be a lot of where this channel's focus will lie, but there are so many cool games out there it would be a waste to just focus on one type, so I'll try to cover any game I think looks amazing!
I absolutely love keqing and if you build her just right you can make her almost impossible to defeat and she is my main assault character (to put it simply I use her for high damage assault)
Something that I don’t get that I’m guessing I just missed something is - what’s that about a Phoenix in Nhysa? There’s a whole section where ghosts remember things about a Phoenix that they created, but it doesn’t go beyond that. Anything I missed about that?
@@BigLurch1022 Gah! Sorry my dude, I watched the direct thinking there wouldn’t be any big surprises so I didn’t record. Talk about learning your lesson!
I thoroughly enjoyed it but the incredibly bad and woke localization should be criminal. Yes that's exactly what it is in any of you that act like it's not an issue, is nuts. The job of a localizer is not to inject their own personal social politics into a game. It's to provide a professional and accurate translation for those people. If things are subtle I don't really make a big deal of it but the game really tries hard and I really hope they fix that stuff. I'm not sure if playing on Japanese with English subtitles is any better
Hard to argue with a lot of this. Would love to see Dragon Quest 1 - VI in this style (OK, I - III confirmed). I would also love to see DQ VII and DQ IX (which has never been re-released) in this style. And lets not forget DQ XI was only released in Japan as an online game, although it is now re-released offline, but only still in Japan. Where is the NA release? And the first 6 Final Fantasy games would be awesome in this style. I may be one of the very few people who beat 7th Sage on the SNES when it came out. I loved that game, but damn it was hard out of the gate and never really let up. It's almost impossible to beat if you don't start with a great character that is compatible with another great character. I've never played Mystic Ark, but I would love to do so if remade. Also agree on the Soul Blazer > Illusion of Gaia > Terranigma games. I'm a also all in for any Secret of Mana/Evermore/Trials of Mana - I know they just released this (Seiken Densetsu 3) finally to NA which was crazy and unexpected and has rendering bugs still :-) Bahamut Lagoon is another good choice, but damn it Near did such a great job with their translation/improvements before passing I don't think I could bring myself to play a different version. You mentioned Treasure of the Rudras, but Treasure Hunter G is another Squenix game only released in Japan late in the SNES era that I would like to see translated/released. And although completely unrelated (cause it is Capcom), I would like to see the Breath of Fire series in this style. Oh and definitely Lufia 1 & 2 (great games!).
@@DoinThatRag I do agree with you about BoF. That series is just sitting there collecting dust! 1&2 being redone is this style of old be a great way for Capcom to test the series appeal
I loved this game, played it twice on Dreamcast. Loved it. Loved the big plot twist, as I had been raised in church/religion at that time and the implications were "sacriligious" and controversial and I couldn't get enough of it LOL! EDIT: I loved the music... great battle tunes
@@adcraziness1501 the music was incredible! And as most of us now know, if it’s a jrpg, and the church shows up, 9 times outta 10 they are up to some shady shit lol
Loved the game but it had flaws. So many door puzzles were frustrating. One at the end I looked up and it glitched out to where I couldn't beat the game. I hope they expand the army battles making it more like a SRPG.
@@gamebreak6395 the last hidden book in the library was top floor left side right? Just checking. It doesn't show for me. I've went all over that area nothing. Has my game locked. I was never able to finish.
I honestly wonder why an indie dev hasnt made an rpg with a battle system highly inspired by this series. The battle system in these games were in my personal opinion the absolute best. Far as turn taker rpg games go. As a kid and even today rpg games that stretch longer than say 20ish hours I get extremely bored on. Even if im into the story eventually there's a grindy moment or two and i just tire out on it. This series gave battles that extra bit of spice I needed. All titles a 3d battlefield (excluding x never played x) and they added the ability to see the turn board and ability to alter it (cancel attacks or slow an enemy on the bar down) from one to two to three the battle system only improved. Honestly hope someone makes a new rpg with this battle system!
23:51 Mareg = Original Uncle iroh. We didn't get that much screen time with Mareg and roan as we do tio and Mareg. But you'll see roan and Mareg have the beginnings of a nice friendship so it makes sense that roan and tio get along if ya think about it ^_^ Lol no mention on Skye as a character even though his and Ryudo relationship is decent and then you go to mention villains! Lol jk good stuff
I agree witth the idea that the next game will play in the empire. I would like another power struggle between major and minporr players and the rise of an unsung heroe to become the next emperor battle the enemies both inside and outside the empire and securfe your thrrone - which is far fetched, i know, but still, thats my idea for the next game. Imagine, the actual capiital of the empire becoming your fortress...
I think you covered it all and yeah we definitely need to see the rising trio be triumphant in their search and have an emotional conclusion! They deserve it. Also I love them lol. So many good characters.
Ouroboros is the first thing I thought about when it comes to the Conclave as well. I also agree about the True Runes > Primal Lenses. We need a lot more backstory on both of these. Nice video.
The should step up and make the story less "family friendly". Like suikoden 2. Suikoden showed the cruelty of war, towns where burned to the ground and a lot of people died on screen. The insane prince is hard to top.
i agree this story like child anime😭 and about skill.. to unbalance some character to perfect .. and some to weak 😭 and i expect animation skill attack more variable.. but not.. is repeating2
Funny going back and looking at this trailer 3 years ago after just replaying through the three games in the legendary edition. I will say the trailer is missing one thing, a scene of Shep dancing. This epic music playing to shep doing the shep shuffle.
