Honestly glad I watched this video but definitely gonna have to start to visit bars I guess. I plan to get my OLLA so I can serve alcohol but I’ve only been to one bar when I turned 21 I guess I should start visiting and talking with the people there so I can understand this better
Bro this video is so helpful, definitely helps put everything into perspective. I’m 18 headed off to college, and just lined up an interview with a bar nearby. Definitely going to look through the rest of your channel, and fingers crossed I land the job 🤞
Hey man so i live in Nash Vegas or Nashville tn i just got my license! I love your videos man there to the point, and give basic knowledge. Ilooked up beginners bartending and your podcast popped up, all my notes my drink research everything based off the simple and to the point information you have put out there! Anyways love the videos make more videos about maybe popular drinks from different regions something to think about
I don’t know 🤨 is anyone actually familiar with this? Because I have been in the service industry over 20 years and I have never heard of anything like this. Also I live in Texas. I’m not sure if that makes a difference.
I really enjoy your videos man! I'm actually looking to get into Bartending, as a second, PT job. I think it will be good for pushing me outside of my comfort zone (office worker in the Air Force). I'm a bit of a nerd and introvert, so of course I've thought it might not be for me but, I do think it would help me with social skills and a huge change of pace. It might be a bit rough finding a place that will give me a shot with no experience but, I'm going to try anyways. Please keep up with the videos, they're great! Cheers!
I am glad to have these. It took them long enough to release it. I thought it was an urban myth. Labatts had something like it last summer but I think they stopped making it. Yes...I could just drink pop or seltzer. But just like N/A beer, it's nice to have a substitute in my hands when I'm around drinkers.
I come from a family of addicts and don't ever plan on trying alcohol because I don't want to take any chances, can you get away with being a sober bartender?
I'm not a drinker myself (I don't like the taste of alcohol), but I'd say you need to atleast try it to see if it's right. I could be very wrong though, I'm just getting into bartending.
I hate spending money, but getting ripped off is worse. I want to start selling at craft shows next year... so yeah, I will buy 2 of these! $60.00 dollars to save hundreds if not thousands over 10 plus shows. Thank you for this priceless information. Note: Thank God the transaction was recorded. I hope they are caught. Police looking for scammers who used counterfeit $100 at an Everett lemonade stand FOX 13 Seattle
Been serving 20 years at different establishments and the current place I’m at says they’re willing to show me how to make some drinks but couldn’t make me a bartender 🙄 honestly that’s all I need, im trying to add to my resume and I can take this skill wherever I go. I’m going to educate myself and give this a shot. (42) & you can teach an old dog new tricks.
Excellent video for me looking into being a first time bartender. I’ve done tons of retail customer facing work, but learning these specific bartending terms/tools/drinks is what I need. Thank you! Do you have a video of you explaining. Everything that’s actually behind a bar?
Im new to bartending!!! I started as a server and they moved me to bartending. Thank you for all this info. Definitely gonna check out all your other vids ❤😊
Super underrated advice on asking them their spirit preference on basic drinks like margs, vodka soda, gin + tonics...easy upsell opportunity right there
Interesting video! I'm trying to really hone in on and improve my bartending skills lately! Though funnily enough it's not to make money or work at an actual bar. But I would love to simply do it for fun and offer to play bartender at parties and weddings for friends and family! It lets me scratch that bartending itch but without the stress of doing it as a fulltime job haha
Hey man Good video! . Martini's and vermouth should be a point. Dry/sweet/or none. Flavor notes on liquor could be a 3 day class. Reposado u missed but tequila is a whole category. But nice job man i really enjoyed it.
Hi, When you say liquor license, Did you meant the certificate to handle food and beverages? Because my understanding about the liquor license it's for open a bar business.
Hey, my dude. Thanks for this. I'm 60 years old and very physically active. I really want to be a bartender. I love a good drink but never go overboard, and would love to make a good drink an experience for people. I have a culinary arts degree but really have no desire to be back of house. Thanks again, can't wait!
Shouldn't be any more difficult than a regular bartending license, though you may want to make sure you get the right Class of an Operating license to sell what you're selling!
