Just to add to what you've said. The formula for the sample deviation you have is for the sample standard deviation. The one for population has just n in the denominator within the square root.

No problem. I used to teach Intro to Stats when getting my graduate degree and found that the process isn't well known. A lot of my videos are from those experiences because unfortunately a lot of teachers assume too much, even when they are the ones that are suppose to break it down for the students.

You need to do a comparison based on total Disney ticket sales (and merch sales) of 2018 vs those of 2023 rather than total dollars that ticket sales generated. THAT should show the "why" of the collapse that you uncovered between 2022 and 2023. That comparison number would be even worse than a monetary comparison.
That wouldn't show the "why," it would show a bigger difference. The "why" is the reason for the change, I think most of us know why Disney had such a negative change.
