Dude. That art is amazing. Not like. Just saying that. I mean it. Also. The amount of character deisgn you just pulled out of NOWHERE for your little skit. Amazing. 9/10. The only improvement? If this dang ALGORITHM decided to show the world your stuff. Subscribed bro. This is amazing. Keep being awesome. Funny joke. Lovely art.
I made this same argument once claiming that reproduction in the Sonic universe is the same as chao mating. Granted I was trolling a Sonic forum but still.
really glad to see a continuation to this, really cool to see your perspectives on these series and movies. just wanted to provide a little bit of context for ya on ultraman: the franchise as a whole is one that operates on a big multiversal scale; pretty much everything is canon, including the australian co-production brought up in the vid, where various ultras, human characters, kaijus and plots from any point of the series 55 year history can and do randomly show up in another ultras' series frequently, but they're generally pretty smart in the way theyre handled. You don't need to understand who the previous characters or what the story elements they're bringing back are, they dont detract from the individual season's overall storyline, it just adds a degree of satisfaction and enhances your viewing if you are able to catch all the little call backs and plot continuations. very rarely does a main ultra show act as a continuation or sequel to a previous one, orb for instance is a stand-alone series despite previous ultras' powers being used by gai. in saying that, as someone who has seen a majority of every ultraman series, its really fulfilling and really helps when the frequent crossovers happen to know who and what things are. If youre interested, I have created a google sheet that details every piece of ultraman content ever made in chronological order with links provided to all of them, it can be found in the description of this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MkBgsJWakus.html I really dont want to say too much about the show other then its one i definitely recommend seeing all the way through to get the answers to the questions you brought up. Ultra Fight Orb that you mentioned takes place after the series is done, and goes more heavy into the multiversal worldbuilding by bringing back previous ultras from different eras and making direct references to events from previous shows. Orb was the big 50th anniversary celebration series and is pretty much its own sub-series; not only is there the main series but also the prequel series "the origin saga", the sequel movie, ultra fight orb and 6 more parts to orb's overall story released as a novel. A personal recommendation would be ultraman leo, the frist two eps are a two parter that link heavily to previous installments, but are very much its own thing and provides a great start to my personal fav ultra show. Destroy all monsters has gone up in my rankings very quickly these last couple years, a lot of the people really dont like the human drama in it, but it's been one of the things i like the most about it, aside from the final battle scene of course. The scene of them infiltrating the moon base is one of my fav scenes. The reason gorosaurus is seen digging is because he put in place of baragon, an actually subterranian monster, but the suit was in such bad shape from it being used multiple times in ultraman (tsuburaya productions was founded by godzilla's original special effects director, so they and toho had a very good working relationship, allowing toho movie costumes were loaded to tsuburaya for use), which is why baragon, who i believe you confused with anguirus, is only in a single shot in the whole film. the Showa godzilla movies are indeed mostly connected in a linear way, including the ultraman-like tv series zone fighter is part of the showa godzilla timeline. Only exceptions are destroy all monsters being the final in the series chronologically coz of the time jump, and godzilla's revenge, aka all monsters attack, takes place in the quote unquote "real world" where godzilla doesnt actually exist, so isnt part of the same timeline.
Good question. I guess I’ll make an update video where I answer that! I’ve been wanting to address some mistakes in my older videos for a while and I think it would be fun to do it all in one video.
This has been my theory from the beginning. It explains why all of these characters have powers and some sensitivity to chaos energy. We know chao mutations exist because of Chaos. It is right there in the cannon. It also explains why, for the majority of the series, humans are the dominant civilization on the planet. The only animals characters we see integrated in the human world are the handful of characters that are regulars in the series, Sonic, Any, Tails, etc. Great video dude.
for sonic being a chao and morphing into a hedgehog because of a mutation I don’t agree with, the chao probably start to grow attached to the character and along with them starting to run faster they adopt the color scheme of the character and as for sonic as a child in the jp story idk about that but in one of the sonic x comics he questions why a hedgehog from earth dosent have sneakers and stuff implying he’s a hedgehog himself, and if he was a chao where did he get to know himself as a hedgehog in the first place
Upon hearing the premise, the theory immediately clicked. That is the best kind of theory. It very neatly explains one of the things I always thought was weird about the Sonic universe, how there are regular animals like Flicky, and more human ones that frankly look weird. Charmy bee and Rouge bat are prime examples. There's very clearly something fundamentally different about them from the animals they represent. A correction though, the Chao that resembles Sonic is actually neutral run Chao, not a heroic run Chao. I wonder what that says about Sonic's character? The Chao that resembles Chaos is actually a neutral Chaos Chao, also known as a Light Chaos Chao. There are Light Chaos Chao, Dark Chaos Chao, and Hero Chaos Chao. One for each alignment. Chaos Chao are immortal, cannot reincarnate, and cannot breed. The interesting thing is that Chaos Chao are made by getting a Chao that has reincarnated at least twice, and giving it every animal in the game to absorb before it reincarnates again. Chaos Chao appearance cannot be changed by giving them animals anymore. Noticeably missing from the process of creating a Chaos Chao is any kind of exposure to the Master Emerald. The Chaos Chao certainly look like Chaos though. Maybe Chaos was once one of these Chaos Chao, before it was transformed by the Master Emerald. Following this, perhaps the Animal-People were once Chao that had only absorbed some animals and were also transformed by the Master Emerald's power?
This is one of those theories that when you first hear it you think "no way", then you think about it some more and it starts to seem really plausible, but then you really think about it and you go back to think "no way", haha. Great video man. Hope to see more from you and more from this series.
good video, I have a question tho. if the "animal people" and Chaos are supposed to transform in the same way, then why can Chaos absorb each emerald individually while the "animal people" have to take all seven at once. In addition, (I may be wrong about this) Chaos only seems to get physically larger from the emeralds while "the animal people" get special powers like invincibility and super speed.
That’s a great question, but I have an answer. Shadow and Silver have both been shown using a single chaos emerald to manipulate time and space, which isn’t too different from Chaos using one or two to gain new powers. I think each chaos emerald user just uses them differently. Also, Chaos became essentially invincible from them too, since it took a Super Sonic to even be able to hurt him.
@@moltengarnet Chaos is also shown to not have a solid physical body. He is made up of pure chaos energy. It makes sense that his form changes with every emerald he absorbs since his form is never solid to begin with.
1.-according to the Sonic Bible (and Sonic The Comic, which is a 1:1 adaptation of it) Sonic was already a fast, brown hedgehog, if he was a Chao from the beginning, he would already be blue when he meet Dr. Kintobor 2.-it is more likely that the Chao adapt and take the look of their caretaker, not always being the case (ej. Chocola) 3.-argually false, Chaos only mutated due to the energy of the Master Emerald, if the animal people were indeed chaos, then the Knuckles tribe would have look more resembling to Chaos due to them being more exposed to the M.E energy 4.-Sadly, only male hedgehogs can reach a Super form, according to SEGA
1) The comic canon, movie canon, and game canon are not the same. I was trying to go by Japanese game canon for this video. 4) The male hedgehog thing has never actually been stated in the games. I know it supposedly comes from sega but like I said, I was trying to go by what I’ve seen in the games.
