I had a tooth implant done and the implant of the abutment is metal and my crown over it you can see the greatest part of the of the abutment is there any way to fix that
I have my own dental lab and yes there are ways to make sure that the abutment is not showing. The metal abutment can be opaqued, or you can have a zirconia abutment. you can visit my dental lab website, i believe i have an example on there. guyvandentallab.com. Also the type of crown and technique can greatly change the way the tooth looks. I have done a central tooth implant with metal abutment and the implant is invisible. It all depends on how well the doctor communicates with the lab.
tbh why on earth would someone put you a zir or silicate in anterior on a metal abutment :) ..Weekend warrior suggested opening the abutment. Sure but if you opaque abutment then whats the point of covering it with a full ceramic transparent crown :) ..you use those materials on a natural teeth so you can get natural fluorescence and transparency of the tooth ..on discolored teeth preps or any kind abutment metallic or no .,.your best bet is a PFM... in your case the communication between dentist and the dental technician was ZERO ..dentist just told him i want tooth in that shade from that material without giving him information about the metal abutment ..in short they basically robed you : )
My dad fixed my moms teeth because of this video. Her order all materials with a hi speed drill for less than $220. He has made slip on crowns or veneers for many people.
T time show what do you mean? Did he adjust existing crowns, or make crowns from scratch. And if he made them completely what was the material he used and type of equipment? Just curious. Please hit me back
I sure hope all of you held up on hand holding are not lab techs. Otherwise I don’t know how you could ever mirror a central. This guy knows what’s up regardless the hand he uses.
