This game always reminds me of the original X-Com geoscape, with planes flying about like the interceptors haha Makes me wish there was a game like xcom but with modern war, sending out jets and missiles to eliminate threats but then for the ground combat, have troops and vehicles to equip with gear etc to send out to locations and that it would go into turn based tactical or wego CM style gameplay but with the incentive to try keep troops alive over the campaign. (or even zombie, or still alien invasion style)
i whould be better if developer removed those arrows so that only way to be precisive is while aiming , also there should be delay when moving left-right , forward-backwards , so that its more realsitic
Wargame Constructor was taken down? I didn't find it when I search it up on the playstore and even tried downloading an apk but it doesn't load the map
Congradulations on getting access, glad the developers recognised this channels efforts in documenting the wargaming niche. You might not be as highly trafficked as Wolfpack but you are highly valued!
29:21 "I didn't see it [running into the sea floor] coming" Well, the depth under keel was counting down ... 50, 30, 20, 10, 5, 3, 2, 1, 0, ... and the graphics showed the same ... and the map showed the sea getting shallower and shallower ... So you must have been asleep at the helm. (But so is your navigation officer etc. who should have been screaming at you!) PS: Did you know? The reason for the 212 class to have X fins is so they can be completely under water at 17m water depth and thus enter and exit the Baltic w/o surfacing.
3:06 Ah, the IDAS. Not (officially at least) in service as of today, planned before 2030, but tests seem to indicate it works so far ... Basically, launched like a sub harpoon, from below periscope depth. It has a IR camera (same as the IRIS-T AKA AIM 2000 ground/air launched interceptor, which seems to do good work in the Ukraine) and a fibre-optic data and control cable. Fully human-in-the-loop, it can be controlled already before leaving the water, and be retargeted or mission aborted at any time. If the wire fails, it will follow pre-programmed (e.g. general ROE, last target, ...) settings. Range ~20 km (40 km in some sources), capable of attacking air threats (dipping sonar helicopters), smaller sea vessels and even land targets. Engagement: Your sonar hears the helo/smaller vessel/radio gets the coordinates from special forces, you launch an IDAS at the threat, the operator confirms it's an evil helo / nasty little warship / ... by the IR camera and let's it have it. Each launch container (fits like a 533 mm heavy torpedo) contains 4 IDAS rockets in 2 pairs as well as the expulsion pistons and the fibre-optic to sub interface. The Barracuda has been claimed to be able to not just go straight but also follow curved paths, with some claiming it could intercept a Shkval, but that is rumour mill quality level --- not impossible, but maybe very fanciful.
@SmartWargames thanks for posting this video. We were able to reproduce this (hopefully rare) issue and it will be fixed in next version. If you are still interested in reviewing the game, let us know in email, and we will send you a steam key of the full version.
One of my favorites on the Tandy Color Computer 3, I would set it on real time and turn the volume up and run in when there were alerts. Otherwise this game would rob you of a whole day.
One thing about promotion from the ranks inancient rome Centurions were chosen by the soldiers themselves among themselves, it was rare for that position to be appointed from above as the position of centurion was not prestigious, it had thw highest mortality in the army and thus was unfit for nobles (centurions were nco's not officers)
