Just rewatched all the Armando Ianucci Shows and Time Trumpet so more than ready to revisit some classic Armistice action … … it’s such a shame Armando isn’t on TV anymore, though, as I’d love to see him take over from Ant and Dec on a Saturday Evening with Armando’s Saturday Night Big Egg!
Thanks for sharing this: I'm the clarinettist in the 'Quadro Wind Quintet'. I had a video tape but lost it some years ago. I was also an extra in Jim Tavare Presents.
Armando was 32, David was 32 and Peter was 32, all the same age, all born in 1963. However back in 1995, we never had the same attitude to looking young and healthy as we do now. All because of social media, especially RU-vid. Everyone wants to look like their favourite RU-vidr with the skinny jeans, styled hair, showering every day and smelling like Lynx counter at Boots. That was not the attitude in 1995.
Although Peter Baynham resembles one who would be employed to collect soot from the sewage tunnel off the Isle of Man. At least he can convince me in eating a pot noodle during lunchtime.
Professor Bruce McDay (Steve Coogan) is a brilliant mocking of the likes of BBC election pundits such as David Butler, Bob McKenzie, Professor Anthony King who all acted in a similar way to which Steve portrays them here, all in this one character.
