Great video! I just bought a 2024 G20BFS. You are right, there is very little info out there on how everything works and where things are. This helped a great deal. Keep up the content it helps more than you know.
Important note for new rv owners...30 Amp does NOT go into a 220 plug. It is 110 power. You will blow the convertor panel with all you fuses under your fridge and the inverter under dining bench and your microwave!!!!!!
We are picking up a 15Fds this week and it will be our first trailer with a slide. Appreciate the slide tip! Would be interested to know about your stabilizer/weight distribution hitch. We have the Equalizer on a No Bo now and do not like it. Heavy to handle, noisey, and makes the truck front end move sideways in cross winds which makes for touchy control fell regarding steering. Not fun. Plan on trying an Anderson with the smaller 15FDS or maybe none if it handles better than the nobo.
@chrisc8856 I'm still rolling with a Harbor freight distribution hitch for my rig. I can't say that I have any experience or guidance with other brands, but this one is easy to set up and easy to get hooked up. It's bulky though. We're going on 3 years now.
@bryanbowman940 Mine came with the hose from the factory. I'm pretty sure they're all a standard size if you search for propane grill supply lines. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful on this one.
Your screen looks to be mounted to the windshield. The product linked to only shows a huge metal bracket for mounting to dash. Where did you get the window mount?
This is the one i bought as an extra and it works well with no modification. amzn.to/3YooaJh I've purchased 2 of these and they both came with the windshield mounts though.
Thanks for the heads up. We have a cabin and RV sites booked for a week in September for all the kids and grands. I'm hoping it's not a miserable stay. Might have to check the availability at Townsend KOA.
If you end up needing to change I would highly recommend the Townsend KOA. It's still close to Pigeon Forge but way more mellow and a beautiful property.
Are you serious? I have had the misfortune of having to drive through Pigeon Forge several times. So much traffic, so many people, yuck! I bought my RV to get away from that! You would have to pay me to park my rig anywhere near Pigeon Forge!!!
this makes me sad. we just booked a cabin there for next june. we live in ohio. so it’s 7.5 hours each way. our kids will be 5 1/2 and 8 1/2 next summer. so dollywood, national park etc is why we chose this KOA. our cabin is in the way back facing patriot park. hoping we don’t have all the problems you guys did.
@@jekell101 we usually go to jellystones, but the one that’s super close to dollywood isn’t the best location :/ it is super small. not the jellystone experience we are used to at other locations. so that’s how we ended up picking this KOA- growing up my family always stayed at KOA’s.
It is very cramped. We stayed in the front loop near the road, so we expected a bit of noise. The spot we picked was for a larger camper than we had, but it was almost impossible to get into it. The bathhouse had mud overflowing into it. The staff was extremely nice and friendly. I do not necessarily hate it, but do not think we will be going back there.
Been towing various RV with my '06 Tundra with no issues whatsoever, has no issues with our 19FD, have about 2,200 "spare" towing capacity over the packed weight of the 19FD;
It simply folds down to the floor. If I by chance, forget to lower it and pull the slide in it will automatically fold down. The top is secured by a magnet, so not much holding it.
You’re the only guy I’ve found that does detailed videos for this exact camper. Just bought one and needed some help due to me buying it off from a private seller that lost some of the manuals. Thanks for your help!
Started towing our E-Pro with our Forerunner. Did it one time and while I was comfortable doing it the wife is already talking a bigger trailer. Ending up getting my retirement truck, a slightly used 2021 Tundra so my observations are similar to yours.
@@carolsdarksarcasm4223 I don't know. More often than not that's what someone is using to lower their stabilizer jacks and they are very noisy. Plain, old cordless drills are quieter.
Wow, there’s a lot of people I’ve noticed I have these Geo pros we bought ours last year. We have a 2023 G20BHS. I saw from some of your videos. It looks like you have a TV mount near your grill mount that looks pretty exciting to have an outdoor TV connection. If you can do a video about that hardware and stuff he used the video that I saw a glimpse on it really quick was about the campsite that was in Georgia on one of your videos. For the KOA in Hiawassee ( Formerly Bald Mountain Campground ) it was a quick picture, but if you can make a video about that, that would be awesome. That way I had that way I can make some great ideas for our stuff. I was trying to look through your all your RU-vid to see if I can find it, but I couldn’t see it again.
Hey check out my modifications for beginners video. It outlines this TV mount and there is a link in the description of that video for the mount. Happy Camping!
I appreciate this video SO much! We just bought our first today. We have two little kids and are so excited to go on adventures with them. We had no idea what we are doing, this video helps. Thank you ❤
I appreciate your video. Not sure why you would do the electric, water and sewer connections before you are at level. Seems odd that you might need to reconnect the trailer to your tow vehicle to make a level adjustment and consequently, put stress on your connections. I always level first, chock and then connect.
Thank you that was very helpful. I didn't know which way was the off position on my RV. When you go away from your RV or go to sleep at night do you leave the grill hooked up? Won't rain damage the grill top or the actually grill burner mechanism?
I do leave the grill hooked up. I have a blackstone cover that i use now. Prior to that, I would just use a trash bag and put something heavy on top. You definitely dont want the top grill surface to get wet and sit. It will rust.
No wiring is required. You'll plug the camera directly into the furrion prewire port at the rear of the camper. Once you do this youll turn your headlights on and it powers the camera.
@@jekell101 thanks I was having a moment 🤦♀.. so many parts in the box no directions. I was thinking I need all of contents . Nope. I got it working. Now time practice:)
Question, say someone is living on land in one of these for a while… months or years… can the grey and black valves be open the whole time with the sewer hose attached?
Gray tank, possibly if you use a sink strainer and flush with fresh water often. Black tank is a tough one. When the black valve is open the tank is mostly dry, which opens up the possibility of creating a "poo mountain" inside the tank. It's always recommended to have some water in the bottom of the black tank. These units have a black tank flush function, but I'm doubtful it would clean out said "poo mountain" once it's been created.
I always keep my tanks closed until I need to empty. 99% of the time is the day I'm leaving and then I hook up hoses to flush. Empty black tank first and Grey tank last to clean out hose.
Hello please please you need a gauge for transmission temperature if you gonna keep towing a trailer without checking your transmission temperature you will fry the transmission
@pecosb5221 I believe my experience. 4500 miles in one trip. Mountain, Highways, etc. Transmission serviced right after to be safe, and report came back fluid was fine. Im not saying that running a transmission temp. monitor is bad. I'm just saying it's not necessary with a Tacoma towing a 19fbs.
Just bought the 2023 EPro 19FBS and taking her out for the maiden voyage this weekend and your videos have been very. helpful. I am curious if you have a generator and if so, what did you get? Not sure what to get and I don't want to get more than I need as I have to lift it into my truck each time I am off grid in the summer.
I personally purchased the predator 3500 from Harbor Freight. Its quite, lower cost and is sized correctly to operate the Air Conditioner. Happy camping!!!
Thank you I appreciate that. I will go take a look at it. I hope you do more videos on modifications. I have been looking around to see if anybody did a modification for the windows to open more than they do. Not sure if you were planning on doing that on your camper.
@@jekell101 Its got some weird reviews especially reception. Good to hear. On another topic, did you trade in your geo pro because you didn't like it? Looking at one myself because of the boondock capability. Thanks for such a speedy response.
@4jaimeavalos loved my Geo Pro! We used it way more than we anticipated so the upgrade to the mini lite with a bigger shower and recliners just made sense. I can't say 1 bad thing about them if that's your target sized camper.
Does the camera still work if the trailer has power but not connected to the tow vehicle? I was hoping to also use it for security. Thank you for the review!
