At Daikin Singapore, we discover something new every day. We identify opportunities and seek solutions to make the air cleaner, healthier and more comfortable. As the only Japanese aircon specialist, Daikin applies cutting-edge technologies to enhance the air quality, providing the comfort of sophisticated air conditioning systems to thousands of Singaporeans’ homes as well as for commercial and industrial needs. Established in Singapore in 1968, Daikin has grown with the country to achieve many milestones. Daikin was the first to introduce multi-spilt air-conditioning systems when the Housing and Development Board (HDB) was paving the way to house Singaporeans of growing affluence. In line with Singapore’s green movement, Daikin was also the first to introduce eco-friendlier multi spilt air conditioner using R32 refrigerant. In 2020, Daikin partnered SP Group to provide Singapore’s first large-scale residential Centralised Cooling System at Tengah.
Daikin is the worst AC brand. Maybe it was good till 2019 but after that Daikin has compromised on quality so much that 2 of the 6 ACs that we bought in 2020 started showing major faults within first year and another 3 within 2 years. And just after 3 years one of the ACs outer unit is completely gone. So basically 5 out of 6 ACs showed the kind of major faults which we have never observed in any ACs in the last 25 years that we have used ACs. 3 ACs needed internal coil to be replaced, another time it was I think the board that had to be repaired. And about 6 months back the service personnel advised us to completely replace the outer unit. Its the first time I am coming across a case where outer unit is having to be changed within 4 years (10 year warranty for compressor was totally ignored). They are ready to buy back the 4 year old outer unit for scrap value of Rs.3k. So basically a Daikin unit for which we pay a premium price over other ACs is reduced to scrap worth Rs.3k in 4 years time. Pathetic. Never buy a Daikin going forward. Their quality is compromised hugely
Who’s watching this because they want an If You’re Happy and You Know It YTPMV? There have been numerous Can Can YTPMVs and still no If You’re Happy YTPMV yet.
If only there could be YTPMV out of the Daikin ad remixed with the Jubeat version of the original song by Jacques Offenbach, imagine how viral this ad would become.
