Submission Fishing Co was born in Carlsbad, CA in 2020, a year full of challenge and innovation the world over. Our love for jig fishing has lead us on a quest for high quality, long lasting, and EFFECTIVE fishing paraphernalia. Slow Death jigs were the result of wanting a higher quality more effective slow pitch jig. Our local fishing club declared it a success, and now we’re sharing our secret for never getting skunked again and getting your black belt with the fishing community.
We also created Fish Frosting after brining our own shrimp and squid baits in salt for weeks at a time, we were left with an incredibly pungent quantity of fishy infused salt. We began experimenting with ways to use the scent on our synthetic lures to make them more appealing to the fish we hunt for along the San Diego coastline. Many hours of trial and error on our Hobie kayak helped us home in on the perfect recipe for maximum scent and long-lasting success.
I'm glad you and your loved ones made it through the hurricane safely! Most of us just don't recognize the gravity of a situation unless we experience it for ourselves. Like, who would have thought a hurricane could do that kind of damage in the mountainous (hills) of Northern Carolina? On a lighter note. You look great, keep up the hard work, Muto, Arthur is real. (Arthritis)😂😂
“I don’t know why people have to be like that” it’s not his fault. Don’t worry about him. It’s not his fault. He doesn’t have a penis. or a sense of humor or a soul.
Our flounder season here in NJ just closed this week. But I targeted and caught a lot of them from the surf this year. My standard method had been a small single jig with a Gulp jerk shad but I also started through hard baits (small deep diving jerk baits and a few crank baits) and that was a lot of fun. I really like what you were doing with these slow pitch jigs and I will absolutely try that next season. What rod / reel / line were you guys using when slow pitching the beach? Mostly I'm curious about the rod length, power and action that you prefer for this application. Great video - thanks!
Damn you had inspired me. I bought a bunch of major craft slow pitch/standard 30g-80g but I didn't get anything after using. How many gram is your favorite weight?
Had to watch the replay but great great show! Not sure if your guest was actually Brian as I don't think any dad jokes were told. As for SPJ being simple for beginners, absolutely. It is also a technique that can require skill and nuance to leverage its potential. Keep up the great content Muto!
@@FishingwTonyd yeah right under the tanks or around the outside. It's like anything sometimes it's slow and they don't want to eat and other times it's every other cast, but u can usually always get 1 or 2 good ones
Muto, my last comment was like a butt dial, some how it got sent before I could finish. Your lures are among a growing arsenal of great jigs, but if people don't know how to fish them, they aren't going to be happy with the results! You no doubt have seen so many anglers fishing a jig while their line is scoped out. A snow ball in a hot place stands a better chance of getting bit than they do. There's a great need for people to learn how to fish the knife jig! I hope there's a pot of gold out there for you if you teach them.
I’ve called quite a few places asking how this will affect our regulations here on the California coast. None of them want to talk about it. I can only hope the days of these agencies meeting at hotels and completely changing the fishing industry year to year are over.
Glad to see you doing well out there! Stoked to see the jigs work well in the surf! I wish the water was that warm in SD. Love the products bro! Keep it up!! 👌🏽
