Videos and vlogs about art and painting. I no longer paint, sorry. 1 Corinthians 10:31 Christ Follower. Husband. Father. Author. My books are available on Amazon. (Use link below or simply search my name.) Thanks and God bless. -- Old Description. I'm an abstract painter from Arizona. I enjoy making abstract paintings and turning them into video compilations to show the process. I usually use gloss enamel, although on occasion I use acrylic paint. To create my pieces, I tend to scrape, dab, or brush my paintings. Any questions, be sure to comment and I'll try to respond as quick as I can. Thanks!
But I assume it has to be left in place after you've painted it to dry before moving? I feel like if you took it down from the wall or moved it before it would dry it could change the painting?
Jackson Pollocks paintings are ridiculously bad! Real art is objective! When someone creates art every one should know what it is! A 2 year old could create a Pollock! This is why modern art is laughable! Everyone that thinks abstract art is worth something is fooling the world! I would even consider it a con!
I have always heard that you can’t thin acrylic paint with just water, paint will crack. There are so many things on the market to thin the paint. Also alternate colors, painting is way too full.
Hi Cory, Heinz here from Germany. I like all your videos and your painting is a big inspiration for me. Yesterda I painted also with a paper towel. But while painting there was always paper from the roll in my painted colors. Did you have the same or not? I am honest, it disturb me and I stoped the painting with the paper towel rol. Thanks for an answer!
I have had trouble with storing rolled acrylic paintings on unstretched, have unrolled them later to find that the canvas is all sticking together inside the roll! This is acrylic, so I had assumed it was dry. I don't know what happened. But I stopped painting on unstretched canvas because of that. I'm halfway through your video and just wondering if anyone has dealt with that issue. Is there something that be put on top of the painting so that it doesn't stick once it's rolled up? Thank you !!!!
Okay, but now they have “value packs” *and* “super value packs”. Any difference on those? You get more canvases in the super value packs than the value and from what I’m seeing on the backs, they both say “Archival, acid free; Lightweight cotton duck; Titanium acrylic gesso primed” - but the regular value pack also says “medium surface”. What is that difference (I’m a newbie, to this). Thanks for any info!
Of all the videos about painting the sides this one makes the most sense to me! To carry the painting over to the side or use a color that you used for the background of the painting. I'm doing that! Thank you for this information!
Great video! I’m currently making some paintings inspired by colonial Latin American scroll paintings. There’s so little information about these but I wanted to know: Why do you roll it with the painting side out? Wouldn’t it make more sense to do the opposite? That way it would protect and also not stretch out the pigment layer? Thanks again!
