Welcome to my RU-vid Channel! A channel where I post weekly travel videos. I have a great backlog of videos from many of the 84 countries I have traveled to as a backpacker or as a more mid-range traveler - from Central Asia to West Africa, South America and more! I love rail journeys and feature a number of those too.
In 2023 I am taking to air and to the road - and to the rails, as I take you along as I attempt to travel from Dhaka in Bangladesh to Dakar in Senegal, West Africa, over 11,000km as the crow flies, but many more in the route I will take. Hopefully I will get out two videos per week (or maybe more) so join me through over 15 countries, many borders, as I experience South Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa in 2023!
I am not sure about an airline named Scoot... 😂. So about 480$, hmm how long is the flight again? Also what was a ticket price for the same flight at economy? Ah delays, at least they brought out refreshments. You never get that from any US airlines 🤦. If it was the only flight I was doing at the time I'd probably put out for the extra legroom. I always love the exit rows specifically for that reason. I like all the power sockets for the phone.
What a tour. It was really crowded but if you can push through, it looked like a great way to spend the day. Up close and personal with the animals. Look like it was the best highlights of the area.
I have never heard of Scoot before. I'm all for the better seats, and included food option. Seems like a good deal overall though. Any airline can have delays these days, no matter what you pay.
One more useful review. Your Airport reviews are always candid and genuine. This Airport looks huge yet crowded. Its nice that you atleast got a muffin to compensate the delay. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Not heard of scoot but always love your flight reviews. The airport looks huge. Shame for your delay at least you got a muffin haha Lunch looked good. Seat looked big Andy. I think overall a good flight.
Changi is massive and now has four terminals. Scoot were ok but I prefer air Asia even though scoot have this basic business offering. Thanks as always for your support 🙏
This looks like a fun boat ride and tour of the mangroves. Cheeky monkeys, gotta watch those fast fingers. Almost lost my stuff in CR once. The bar cave looks awesome!
Stayed on Sentosa Island with my cousin and we spent a day at Universal Studios which was a lot of fun. I’d forgotten about some of the attractions you’ve sparked my memory. Got a mild whiplash on one of those roller coasters! Don’t recall if we paid for express, don’t think so. WTF has happened to the Australian dollar? Used to be on par or a little more than the Singapore dollar!
The Singapore Dollar is super strong these days. Aud is ok it's been a lot worse against the greenback and it's super strong against the yen. But against the Singapore Dollar it's weak these days sadly
thanks for watching. I paid 5000cfa on the pirogue which is about 15 Euro at a guess and about 3 Euro to some guy on the Senegalese side. The mini bus from Nouakchott I can't remember but it wouldnt have been more than 10-15 Euros same with the sept place to St Louis. At some point the bridge will be finished I guess and it will be easier. I was expecting to be asked to pay a lot more in the way in bribes. as you can see it was super quiet. so I figure i got lucky because it was a Friday and it was Ramadan at the time.
SCOOT is run by Singapore Airlines and are a decent budget option in SE Asia. There are a lot of choices in the region which keeps the prices down. The delay was unfortunate, but can happen anywhere. I also use Air Asia when flying this part of the world that have super cheap prices often. SCOOT don't fly across to the States or any of the Americas, which is probably why you haven't heard of them (Singapore do) thanks for watching!
I've been couple times with my mum but I found it's not good they have wrecked it, it's ashame the when it was close they should of left everything where it was, and reopen it up has a Meusum
sorry to hear these thoughts. I presume the biggest bugbear is the shopping centre and all the apartments around it. It's tough to balance preserving the history with development and where money is involved, I guess development wins most times., thanks for watching
Monkeys on the boat was pretty interesting to see. The bat cave looked neat and I love the scenery from the boat in general. Seemed like a nice tour overall! But no snorkelling/swimming for me... afraid of water 🤣
Thank YOU for watching. As an Australian I didnt require a visa for Italy. I think there are some things we have to apply for now or there will be soon to enter this part of Europe though.
wow what a tour! One of the places must visit when in Malaysia. We are planning for Malaysia since long but didn't hit it yet. Hope to visit it soon and your videos really help visitors to plan ahead and pick the right thing to do. Thanks for your detailed review.
cheers! the monkeys were... monkeys lol. I dont think i kept in the screams of some of the passengers when the monkeys jumped about lol. thanks for watching!
Really good price Andy for this Tour. Adding this to the bucket list for our next Malaysia visit. Do the crocodiles eat good pro haha The monkeys aren't shy. Bat cave looks awesome. Lunch looked tasty Andy. Altogether I think it was a great tour. Great work Andy.
Thanks as always. it was a great day out. there is a video I did about 'Crocodile Kingdom' not sure if you've seen it it's pretty sad the way the crocodiles appear there. Langkawi is pretty touristy but not a bad option with a few things to see and do. and a chance to relax.
H-Division was punishment. It was run strictly military, salutes, yes sir, no sir, 3 bags full sir. Where they broke people and where people were forced to break bluestone boulders with little hammers -fuxking mindless pointlessness, where you were bashed on reception, where they only allowed you to live Edit: the damage they've done to the joint and allowed to turn it into is a fucking criminal disgrace....charges should have been doled out en mass not props and celebration...I mean look at it...
Bendigo was the worst with the shit bucket in three outer cell walking down the stairs with shit falling over staircase then to the yards to wash the shit bucket
It's a decent price certainly cheaper than the theme parks in the UAE, but having recently gone to Tokyo Disneyland I was surprised - that's REALLY affordable! Thanks for watching!
@@AndysWorldJourneys I know, we actually talked about how maybe going to Tokyo Disney might be more economical for us than going to Disneyland in California!
I was a volunteer tour guide in 98 best part time job I ever had,it wasn't painted nice and clean back then when I worked there it was still very much a jail cells weren't that long empty and we had to get it ready for tourists before it opened, was really interesting for me....I grew up near by,next door to Coburg drive in and in the 80s as a kid it was Castle Grey Skull to me....we'd ride our push bikes as close to the wall as we could, the guards would Chuck apples at us and tell us to F off home 😂
thanks for commenting and sharing your story! Sorry to take so long to reply. Always nice to have people reach out who have an attachment to the prison!
@@AndysWorldJourneys I moved to bundaberg QLD in 2007 and haven't been back to the site. Looks like the hospital has been demolished that's a shame, whole place was painted pink inside, even the sinks were pink, they say it had a calming effect but I hated that section,as a guide you were either static or walking around with groups,I was only in there for 3 hrs at a time but that pink got to me..I dont see how it could have worked tbh.
Great question I'm a travel channel thought it would be an interesting topic but I'm not sure but surely they must be wouldn't they??! Thanks for visiting my channel ☺️
I was H in the 80's lot of prisoners hanged themselves in that shit hole and people buy houses there I hope they like ghosts if you was there arse hole you would get fucked up the arse before you take off your glasses in D division just before you visit your family was a cage on the left you could see scumbags was on protection no duty of care how it should be no duty of care now they are protected
I love Universal Studios in California. It’s neat to see the Shanghai twist on the universal studios. it seems that they all seem to have very similar things and shows.
High quality flight reviews are so rare, keep it up and you'll be famous. Just don't end up being one of those reviewers doing only first class in emirates on repeat
Haha I just want to make a little extra cash as a side hustle travelling which I love. I have a few BC reviews on points..but most are economy. Cebu I reviewed a whopping three times which probably was not wise lol. Thanks for watching appreciate the support
We're looking at hotels near the Sydney Airport for the one night layover and this popped up in our suggestions which is great! We were looking at Ibis Budget and Ibis as some options, but are still trying to see which one is best. They all seem close to the airport, but not as walkable as you think they are. 4* but looking really basic. HAHA.
Look this one is ok. Simple. regular shuttle from the underground car park for ten bucks I think in most major cities it would be free. The options aren't great. With the ibis you know what you will get
Mate you should change the setting of your camera when filming. The lights looks like its flickering. Anyway, Cebu pac in is known for a not so great airline. That is crazy. 8hrs no entertainment on to watch. Damn..
BYO entertainment on Cebu Pacific! Unfortunately this is what the GoPro 9 does in poor light otherwise I'm super happy with it been through a few cameras in the past year will eventually upgrade but not for a while thanks for watching!
