I wish mages could scale up better. I've been scaling golem and using bonestorm for survivability. I love the mages and scale them up for a farming build but they just take too long to kill stuff in the pit unfortunately. I wanna be able to sacrifice my warriors for mages and have an army! Damn it blizzard!
Oh, man. You’ve probably already gone beyond this area, but there’s a great way to cheese the Lake of Rot. You start by rolling in the rot to get it all over your character, then, right before the rot procs, you jump back on land. If the rot procs on land, you get rot-light. If you convert all your flasks to reds, you should be able to explore the whole thing just chugging reds when you need them. It makes that area super easy. Just don’t cure the rot once you’ve got it. Let that rot-light tick away as you heal through it.
You mentioned letting you know if we thought you should make a Mohgwyn rune farming video. I’m having to use 30K runes per level now and I would definitely appreciate one! There are tons of farming videos but most suck or are really late game and I trust your videos. Great job. I wouldn’t even be playing this game without your videos. Thanks for all the hard work.

Your videos don´t suck at all, i´ve been subbed enjoying your content since the Dark Souls 1 videos and for me it´s still the same good vibe and entertainment that you´ve always delivered. Hope you´re doing better now! The videos on games that don´t interest me i just don´t watch, but it´s always a good day when i see a new souls upload by you! Looking forward for the DLC content, but i´ll have to play it myself first
As of late may 2024, P4wnyhof's alternate route to get somber 1-9 is probably the easiest, somber 7 included. You will need to alt f4 or quit your game at the right time to force a "bug" however, but its doable on pc and console, bug is pretty easy to time as well.
Yo Jumpin! Your Noob’s Guide literally taught me how to play the game. Now a couple dozen alts later, it’s great to see you back in The Lands Between! I saw you pick up that Vulgar Militia Armor in the last episode, and it reminded me of one of my favorite early weapon/ash combos: Vulgar Militia Saw + Stormcaller. Throw on some Blood Grease for even more good times. Stay at it, man. And watch out for that greatest of enemies… GRAVITY!
I'm so glad you are playing some more Elden Ring. Your noobs guide was such a help. I would love to see you do a playthrough of Dragon's Dogma 2, I had a blast with that one. If I were going to do a Noob’s Guide 2.0, I’d probably build the character around Death’s Poker with a plan to incorporate the Dark Moon Greatsword after Ranni’s quest. There’s a super-easy holy-pot cheese that anyone can figure out, and set-up isn’t bad since you can get the crafting materials pretty easily in Jarburg and a couple of other places without much need for fighting. If I recall, the ash of war for Death’s Poker scales with the character’s intelligence stat, so while it may not boost the weapon AR as much as strength or dex it’s what makes the weapon truly broken. I’m not so certain on this that I’d say you can quote me, but I’m pretty sure that’s the case. In any event, I always push INT as high as I can get it when I use this weapon, along with some vigor, mind, and endurance for survivability, and playthroughs with Death’s Poker have been a cakewalk. As for Jarren, the NPC who starts the Radahn fight, he does show up later, during Sorceress Sellen’s quest. Also, if you wanted the Somber 7 from Volcano Manor, with a couple of sleep pots and Death’s Poker, you would destroy the Godskin Noble.
armchair backseat gamer here, the death poker ash of war scales completely off INT. Even though the scaling on the weapon itself is bad, the ash of war scales much better. So it would be best with a primary INT build using only ash of war.
Its still possible to do the jump...you just need to get the ruptured crystal tear from the Erdtree Avatar at the Minor Erdtree on the WEST side of the Lake of Liurnia. Then head to the roundtable and go to the mirror and make your body as small as possible...then go to the jump ( still have to aim to the right) and drink your wondrous physick mix and do the jump...when you hit the railing make sure to roll forward or else youll drop to the ground. ( side note: you have to time the explosion with your jump properly it will propell you forward...if you dont make yourself small at the roundtable then it will blow you back instead of forwards)
