How to have fun on set and disguise it as work, and get paid - I was like, this is going to be like that guy from Third Rock from the Sun, with the Big Giant head etc, and then I thought I'm too busy laughing to complain about how silly it looks...
If they had left these scenes in, the movie would’ve teetered far more towards being a drama. Even though they were all very good scenes I understand why they took them out.
I noticed it the first time i watched the finale, but the detail of Maddy smoking a cigarette as she goes out is SO good. It didn't make sense to me until i was a smoker, tbh. She quit for charlie, not herself, so of course shes going to have 1 when it doesnt matter anymore
This film would have never, EVER been made during the COVID Plandemic. Compliance, blind obedience, and submission to authority are now fully in control. So, a movie about breaking rules and questioning authority would have been quashed immediately by the Cultural Marxists now in power. #nocovidamnesty #plandemic
i always curious on how to use this map, i mean Jack's compass ia pointing at the things you want the most, but how about this map? is there any rules to use it? like how many times you must spin those rings etc???
0:30 Poor John Cusack. He seems to have been passed over on a lot of these iconic 80's movies. I mean, wasn't he also at one point being considered for the role of Bender in 'The Breakfast Club'?
4:50 I swear I watched rise of planet ape 2 times and the first time I watch it I was young and I swear I saw this scene where the little girl find out then Ceasar go hiding then got caught but my seccond watch I don’t see this scene anymore😭. What is this memory I got? It feel so weird and so real at the same time bro.
You’d never get that parade shot in Chicago today. First, I’ll bet they don’t even hold that parade anymore as someone was offended that they’re honoring an old white guy. Second, not least of which, Chicago has zero pride nor camaraderie anymore.
Galaxy Quest is one of THE timeless classics of the sci-fi genre imo. It manages to poke fun at itself and the whole genre while still delivering an engaging story with loveable characters. Best scene btw is when Sarris exits the spaceship after it crashed into the convention and is immediately fired upon by the assembled nerds with their nerf guns. Hilarious!
The thing about the rooms never made sense to me. Instead of outing the couple, Martinez could have been assigned to Watney's unused quarters. There has got to be an alternative protocol, like maybe try to fix the environmental controls? Also, would the ship's onboard monitoring not have reported a temp problem already? This was silly drama and didn't add anything to the story as the relationship is clear otherwise- good thing to cut it.
2:22 I’ll bet this was inspired by Christopher Lee telling Peter Jackson what a stab in the back really sounds like during the shooting of Return of the King. Nice to see it adapted into a scene in his work, even if it didn’t make the final cut.
Oo wow I wish they did not delete the scene of the ceremony, but seeing it now honestly feels like our African heritage ceremony. I really wish they didn't make Koba character turn out to be evil, because I felt he's pain when humans used him several times, I totally understand his pain, and I felt he would have continued to be Caesar right hand Ape if he didn't take the wrong turn. That's why I like this movie it felt real, because all 3 movies really had me crying cuz I felt their pains and I was so glad the Apes fought back, you can only take so much 😊😊
There was a brewery which was inspired by this movie to name one of its beers "Chez Monieux" after the owner's wife saw the restaurant menu in this movie. ("Chez Quis" was a brilliant pun, for those of us who remember Shakey's Pizza.)
Huzzah for those rare, fabulous moments of Eating The Cake!! (and what an annoying phrase btw) Hoping Madame Tussaud's will embrace these actors/characters at some point - if not Hollywood's Hall of Fame, or SOMEONE, dangnabbitt.
