Small world! I saw you out there with your camera gear. Spotted you in the morning at your camp on the cliff. I was hunting out there. And then we passed each other as you were descending to the hot spring. I remember your bright amber lights and camera gear. I was in a red UTV. Probably the only person you saw that day ..lol. I figured I would see your video eventually here on RU-vid. My children grew up playing in that hot spring. Its back yard!! Beautiful country, right?? Thanks for sharing!
@@jmkoverland oh, no worries. I’m 2 years into my Overland build and am now living in my Tundra GFC camper. I’ve always found your videos underrated among my overland subscriptions. Your cinematography is spot on.
Dude I have been wanting to find that spot that you almost camped at for a while. I think I know where it is and wow that was insane. If I am right about the location I have a spot thats near there that you would LOVE as well. Such a cool video dude!!
My backyard. It's a truly remote but amazing region. The vast emptiness is what sets it apart. Very, very few people will ever experience this special place.
Very well done! Heading out there 4th of July weekend. I’ve lived in Oregon all my life and explored all over. This is my absolute favorite part of the state! Looking forward to more videos and I will check out your channel! Thanks!
6:17 that wasn't for hanging cows. It's a cattle chute: a ramp for guiding cows up into a truck or trailer. I have no idea why someone would hang a cow skull from the cross beam, but that beam is clearly not strong enough to support the weight of a cow anyway. But again, it was just used to guide cows out of the corral and into a truck or trailer. Nothing scary about it. 😊
My setup is similar. I made a tundra double cab rear seat into a jump seat in the GFC. The rear empty space I use for fridge, electrical setup i.e. lithium house battery and recovery items. My cooking is by infrared hot plate seeing I use a Renogy 2000w inverter.
@@jmkoverland northern Maine woods. End of may I’ll be upgrading suspension, adding a winch, front bumper, swing out diy rear and some ditch lights. I may try to film it as an episode. I’ll message you when and if I finish it.
Alvord at night is amazing. I've been really lucky with the weather when I've been over there though. Looks like you were over there later in the season. Somehow I still haven't' made it to Owyhee. Maybe this will be the year!
