Hello Memor am having a real problem,My Maschine+ not connecting with Software on my lap and it’s really frustrating man,any help to fixed cos am new to machine and can’t used it without lap…some edits are more faster than using the hardware…any help pls?
I love your videos on the channel really is the best I’ve seen for Maschine absolute gold throughout 👏🏼👏🏼 Thanks for all your hard work put into these vids, made my life a whole lot simpler to workout my own workflow they have really gave me so much inspiration to get my ideas flowing. Is there any promo codes available for the Course right now?
Thanks for the kind words! I'm happy my videos have been helpful for you, your workflow, and some inspiration as well. Here's an old promo code that should work. It'll take $40 off. Enter it at checkout "SPRING40"
Is clips something that is relatively new for maschine? I'm asking because in 2020 i bought a Maschine mk3 and was able to understand the general work flow of it and really enjoyed except for one MAJOR thing that i couldn't wrap my head around. That was to have the ability to freely move around a "clip" linearly all through out the track. When i had it you were not able to do this and the work around for it was to create another "scene" at the exact time in the track that you wanted it and it was just a very sloppy and frustrating way to do it. So much so, that i returned my mk3 to guitar center just 3 weeks later, before the 30 day return period ended. I was really disappointed because i really REALLY wanted to keep it because besides that i was loving it. Obviously from your video it looks like that is "fixed" and i am feeling very excited to get a mk3 again because even after being with Ableton for a little while i still think maschine does it in a way that just makes so much sense and feels extremely intuitive with the mk3 and maschine working together
Yeah, I believe clips are relatively new (a couple of years maybe). I couldn't imagine using maschine without clips. I don't blame you for returning it. They add so much to the workflow and flexibility. I'm hyped for you to get your Maschine MK3 again and have clips available to you this time. It sounds like Native Instruments will be updating their software sometime soon, so hopefully that comes with substantial improvements
Great video and overview! I will definitely get into clips a LOT more because of this. One thing about the choke groups: for the 808, I've always found it easier to set it to ADSR mode and drag the notes out. This provides extra control over the release, ensuring there are no clicks when the sound is cut off.
Nice mate - watched the live performance yesterday so great to see this follow so quickly - like you say… nothing crazy technical - more a tool kit of fundamental moves to combine and interchange which make the music change over time and get you out of that loop and into a (live) arrangement. Plus all done in a really hands on and immersive way which (for me) is deffo where there magic of Maschine lies. Really enjoyed the tune and the insights… thanks for your ongoing efforts making and sharing these vids
Thanks for the comment and feedback! I agree with you. Maschine excels with the immersive playing. That is my favorite part about it. Sure, other DAWs can do more, but it's much more fun for me to create on Maschine
Thanks! All sounds are from Maschine expansion kits except for the vocal. I got the vocal sample from Splice. Splice is a great source for all types of samples and loops
great tutorial thank you! What kind of approach you suggest when I have full song acapella and I build song around it. I have also Ableton but do you recommend create only clips? Or what is the best way to do this. Cuz if I out first acapella and then make scenes acapella cuts always. I can make blank scenes first and arrangement and then put acapella. Suggest your best way on this case. Thank you!
Usually, I would try to add some scenes and then add the acapella with a clip. It's okay that when you add more scenes, the acapella clip cuts. You can drag the ends of the acapella clip and that will solve the issue
Thanks man! I can make another video soon. Idk if youve seen this vid of mine, but it goes over making a remix: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zsU93XfDdYg.htmlsi=4MXuYB2yHbx5QlvO
Another fantastic video. I just converted from a Mikro MK2 to the MK3 and while I'm very familiar with the Maschine Software, I try to touch the mouse as little as possible as it's just not as "fun" for me to produce or make music with the mouse and clicks. Learning how to do as many things as possible on the hardware is super important for me to really enjoy the process more and this video is yet another great display of how to do that. Thanks again, keep up the great content!
This was an awesome video and great simple step by step and practical display of how to use the Lock feature to create some fun in live performances. Very well done. First time I'm coming across your channel, but I already plan on diving into many more of your videos. Thanks for the great content!
I tried to figure this out after reading your comment, but I haven't found a way to do so using "zone" in maschine. I'd probably do this manually by putting the same pattern on two different soundslots. Then offsetting one of them
Hey! This will probably be hard to understand through text, but you can put a reverb effect on the snare. Then you can create an automation for the reverb to only occur during the chorus part of your song. You can record the automation through the controller and edit/refine it within the software in the automation area at the bottom portion of the software screen. You can also create an automation with an effect similar to how I did it in this video for tip 14 (use a clip) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YNA8-fyGySg.htmlsi=hN7UkaAXxWTW7edx
@@MusicMemor Again, i want to say a huge thank you bro.. because this video is like a bible how to manual for me. Trust me i've looked, and i haven't found anybody else on RU-vid who explains in detail how to use and manipulate Clips the way you do here. I'm doing Vocals, the way that i would usually do them (recording them out as a sample with the beat playing) and i have issues in Song mode with the vocals replaying from one scene to the other.. & i was going to go back and chop them up, and place them on pads and play them where i wanted them.. (blah, blah.. long science projects) then i remembered clips can do this .. but HOW.. i have your video saved.. So i just rewatched it.. and everything i needed to know is here.. Even manipulating automations in Clips (and duplicating them) to place them anywhere (instead of sitting here and doing it over and over each time)... Thanks a ton.. You've blessed my workflow.. You da Man.!!! Really if i could i'd give you a million likes
@@reoscorpio Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! I'm happy the video could help you out and I appreciate your support a ton! Hopefully I can make other vids that supply a similar level of value.
@@MusicMemor Yes, i have gotten equal amounts of info out of your other vids too.. like the vids for Note Editing, Sound Design (using One Shot - AHD & ADSR), and Side Chaining.. each are very useful.. they gave me more info on things i already knew. & makes it easy to stay being creative.. and not spend so much time figuring out stuff like its a science project Lol. Take care, stay creative.. Peaace
There was a coupon that was advertised until April 1. It is “SPRING40” and i think you should be able to still use it. It’ll take $40 off. Use the code at check out
Hi Roman - When you are in the piano roll view, you can increase the pattern length by typing in a number in the middle area of the right side of the screen. It's a section that says "Length: 4:0:0" for a pattern that is 4 bars or "Length: 2:0:0" if your pattern is currently 2 bars. Sorry, this is hard to explain through text, but I hope you are able to figure it out
Are you asking me to list 9 general expansion packs that I recommend? If so, here's 9 that I have and like that cover a variety of genres - Certified Gold - Crate Cuts - Expansions Selection - Global Shake - London Grind - Magnetic Coast - Neon Drive - Pure Drip - Satin Looks
Hey! I don't have a class on it. In my course, I have 2 videos which cover Lock and Ext lock states. It covers the basics, however, both videos combined are less than 8 minutes. So I wouldn't push anyone towards a full course solely for those two short videos. I wish I had a video for Lock on this channel, but I don't at this point in time. Once I have time to make videos again, I'll make a video on lock state. My best recommendation is to browse every video you can find on lock states. Also, read the Lock State section of the Maschine Manual online. The videos will teach you and help spark ideas on how you could improve your workflow with it
What are your thoughts on doing song transitions with Maschine+, live set playing house, tech house? I can't settle on a good way to have the one box do it all, Maybe add a 2nd Maschine + or a Digitakt II to act as the 2nd deck? I have 4ch Denon mixer with FX.. I've only had the Maschine Plus a few weeks, but seems cumbersome to try and set it up all in the one box.
I don't have experience trying this out unfortunately, so I can't give the best advice. Have you looked at combining Maschine with Native Instruments Traktor X1 controller? They released a video showing it in use on Native Instrument's RU-vid channel recently. That is where I'd personally start to combine mixing with Maschine
