Oil filter cap = 25 N•M Oil filter cap drainbolt = 12.5 N•m If you aren't going to drain the oil from the oil filter housing before removing the oil filter cap then there's no reason to change the small o-ring. Nice, going to look at 01 4.6 hse with 70k miles it’s been sitting for a bit gonna give it the run down, how reliable has this been always heard nightmares about p38s but honestly they don’t seem that bad
Great video, I just bought a 4.0 P38 I plan on servicing it next week. Can I ask, you drained the oil then out the sump plug back in to change the filter, Then put the new filter on then removed the sump plug - was this because the oil pan was not wide enough to catch the oil dripping from the sump plug and the oil filter at the same time?
