Toyota hybrids are even more reliable than gasoline cars why would you not want a hybrid? Those ecvt transmission are even more robust than manual transmissions , the batteries can last for 15+ years if taken care of (literally just replace the filter every 20-30k miles) and the brakes last for way way longer than gasoline cars
