Really glad the two of you both enjoyed this movie, I really enjoyed watching your reaction to it......bit of insider information, this blood in blood out is actually a 5hr movie and it was meant to be a part 1&2 however the studio decided to have them trim it down to this version so somewhere out there, there is the full master recording of 5hrs
What the hell did you just watch, you ask? You watched a movie about an aging sheriff who can't deal with a new kind of criminality. That's why you were with him rushing to the motel, too late to save Llewellyn. And yes, it did look exactly like Llewellyn because it WAS Llewellyn. Your eyes were playing tricks on you. You thought that there would be some sort of showdown between Llewellyn and Anton, but the movie subverted your expectation. You were no more prepared for this new kind of criminality than the Sheriff was. And because you were so concerned about Llewellyn and the money, you missed the important part. The climax of the movie was the Sheriff's conversation with Ellis, and you couldn't even remember what they said. You did NOT understand the movie at all. They knew exactly how to write a movie. You just didn't know how to watch it. You are completely entitled to not like the movie. There's nothing wrong with that. But it remains one of the best movies I've ever seen.
On of my favourite movies from the teenage years.❤ It was cool to see it with other people's eyes.🙂 Yes, the movie has many weak spots and it's nothing spectacular, but I LOVED the acting, every actor was on their own place! Perfect cast choices! All of them were believable in their roles. The soundtrack is perfectly balanced. The camera work, the photography and the director work alone was so on point, great vibes for the genre. It's definitely my comfort movie and giving me family vibes all the time I decide to rewatch it. Vin CAN do a lot in a good dramatic movie actually, make you feel things, I mean even after watching the movie 5-7 times I still cry sometimes (if I don't see it for years) when Sean is sitting outside the house after his wife was murdered, And or the scene in which he talks to his friend (asking him what would he do if his wife would die and then the friend actually comes to help and cover his back). And I'm not easy to move emotionally. It's sad he mostly did only s**tty action movies like F&F 4,5,6,7,8,9,10 etc I think he could have given more, but it is what it is. 😂P.S Just noticed that my nick name here on utube is actually HollywoodJack, like the dude who did not wanted to come out of the car and then got shot.😂 I freaking forgot about it....😂
Exactly why we moved over to Patreon. RU-vids copyright restrictions are ridiculous. I suggest following us over there. Plus you get full length, unedited reactions.
The part where the radio broadcast says "incredibly there's been another plane crash..." is referring to the Wichita State plane crash earlier that year. Not everyone died, but very few survived. The running back was Randy Jackson, and many years later was my middle school P.E. coach.
Siskel and Ebert gave bad reviews on this movie because it came from their corny perspectives. This was a great movie to many of us because we could relate.
This movie is Purple Rain. A young midwestern man with issues at home and in his love life that effect his creativity until he includes his truth in his music which helps his rep and ego but not his pockets. B Rabbit and "The Kid" are one in the same. Oh, and the dude Rabbit beat up is the Morris Day character in Purple Rain. I happen to love both movies btw.
wish em would do more acting, hes just so good at it. other rappers who were great actors are tupac, and childish gambino. there are others, but those guys are great.
Yes, it's difficult to adjust for RU-vids corrections, we also don't have the original footage or id gladly reedit it. Thanks for the try. Some of our newer stuff is a little better.
Agree with u guys, Eminem was phenomenal for no real acting experience. Great watch yet again. If you haven't saw it yet, Lady Gaga acting and Bradley Cooper's singing in the newer version of A Star is Born, from around 2016 are both amazing as well. Another good flick for a military guy is The Guardian with Kevin Costner, about US Coast guard rescue swimmers and their C school. They use actual instructors for actors in it as well.
What a genuine reaction. Your reaction made me tear up a bit when cruz was accepted back into the family in the cemetery scene. Seen it so many times ive grown numb to the emotions. Thanks,
Fun Facts: 1. The lady playing Michael’s mom is Rob Zombies wife. 2. The girl playing Michael’s older sister Judith also plays young Jenny in Forest Gump. 3. The guy that plays the Sheriff is the voice of iconic slasher Chucky. 4. Laurie Strode friend Annie(Daughter of the Sheriff) real name is Danielle Harris and she is actually from some of the original Halloween movies. She was in Halloween 4 & 5 as Michael’s niece and he was trying to kill her.
2 months later, but the point of this movie wasn't supposed to be another Hero v.s Villain movie with another Hollywood twist to it. Tommy Lee Jones was main character, an old Sherriff at the end of time within his career. He was one step behind Chigurh, but if you pay attention to the movie, he's never seen him, making him like a ghost, METAPHORICALLY. Like, the world is changing and Anton is the product of this Always-Evolving cruelty of Man. Moss wasn't the main character, it's not his story. Very Simple. You had the "same" mindset of every movie going into this. Moss getting killed by the cartel is the realistic death. He's not going to just go head to head with Anton😂. You guys have to READ the BOOK
Just an FYI the original was 5 hours long with a love story involving Pratt. The drug dealer that showed up at Cruz’ art show is the actual artist that made all the murals. Miklo is 1/2 Latino and I’m 99% positive his Dad was in prison. A sequel is in the works but most people that know would rather watch the 2 hours that ended up on the cutting room floor.
I was in college when this was released and I loved it. We even studied the movie in Intro to Theater class. It's in my Top 5 movie list. Thanks for reacting to this brilliantly written movie.
