RIGID.PRO was born from a small idea and big dreams. Having discovered amateur filmmaking, like most on the journey the camera rigs started getting bigger, but also more complicated.
The small format camera bodies allow much freedom and flexibility, but before you know it you need more options for mounting all the extra components and devices. After scouring the internet for weeks looking for the right solution, we discovered a need for larger format camera bases to encompass all the needs of videographers.
It's a small but growing range - with many new models now in the works. Be sure to join our mailing list so you hear about the new products first!
My own unboxing video coming soon, including 2 different S5iix SmallRig cages to show one that does not work. Also I could not see this noted or advertised anywhere but the main body of this is 3D Printed.
Looking forward to it. Genuine question. Do you see 3D printing as a negative? It is used in medical, aerospace, automotive, and all industries now. Not just for prototyping, but for production as well. Materials have come a long way in recent years, and we are very selective in those that we use, including carbon fibre reinforced materials. We strength test all our models, and before a model goes into production it may have up to 18 revisions. Strength and durability tests are part of that process. If you look at photos of our earliest releases you can tell the product development and refinement has come a very long way since then.
Unfortunately not. The standard cage covers the Mode dial and makes it difficult to access with a rig attached. We tested all cages, and the Black Mamba version was easily the best fit, providing full access to all buttons and controls, and without making the rig unnecessarily large (Tilta).
@@RigidPRO Thank you for the quick response. I have been eyeing on an a6700 cinerig for a while, as i decided against the fx30. Ive heard there were plans on producing one, could you give a rough estimate? best wishes from germany!! :) Let me spent my eurossss
chunk of aluminum, albiet beautiful, with only D-tap break out for ~$300? Will definitely purchase once the price reaches a reasonable range. I can get a wireless follow focus setup for less than this.
@@RigidPRO appreciate the reply. Fair response as to the cost. For those thinking about purchasing, the quick reply is a very positive sign of great customer service.
@@RigidPRO I've heard of a possible TX model (for those of us using the DMW-XLR1 XLR interface). Count me as a pre-order if that is the case. Tell me how to do that pre-order and I'll be there. I have the LanParte hotshoe extension if that helps. If that can be purchased as a replacement top cheese plate, I'd order one of the v2 now.
My guess is, the vast majority of people who want this will be using the XLR-1 on their camera and thus need access to the hot shoe. Myself included. Really cool otherwise. I’ll be a buyer when that comes out.
Granted people do, hence why we have a top handle version of the FX3. However sales indicate there are still many that don’t use the XLR-1. We will have a solution soon in any case.
@@RigidPRO looking forward to that. I use the DMW-XLR1 for direct audio from the house sound board for event recordings. Provided there’s enough clearance, I use the LanParte hotshoe extension cord.
Ii love this but… there is no way of accessing the hot shoe (mi shoe) which is a deal breaker for me as I use dji mic 2’s with the mi shoe adapter. Is there a way you could give us an alternate option that has the hot shoe accessible? Thanks!
Twelve years ago, my friend traveled to India. He was interested in photography like me. He organized a photography exhibition called - India to Iran. The tickets for the hall became zero from the first day. They welcomed everyone. Even the ambassador and the staff of the Indian embassy in Tehran came to the exhibition and the wall pictures - without retouching - were finished. I was interested in photography since childhood, but I could never buy a good camera. I turned forty, I look back in the mirror Working for the family from morning to night I look to the future from this moment Image in the image of mirrors I drown without leaving a trace of my life. My hopes and dreams were to have a photo camera, which did not come true. لطفاً خودتان را فراموش نکنید چون هرکاری برای هرکسی انجام دهید حتی خانواده و همسر و فرزند و ... ارزشی برایتان قائل نخواهند شد. 🥺😓😞😞
@@jasonlartigue1976 3-4 weeks if all goes to plan. Prototyping unfortunately takes time - particularly for the aluminium parts which are outsourced. We're a tiny company scaling up all the time - so trying to improve development times.
*JUST ordered mine today, didn't know it was coming from Australia BUT it looks like I'll get it in 2-5 days WHICH is amazing as I was thinking 2 weeks lmao, BUT I'm looking forward to setting this up*
Just ordered mine this morning and super excited to receive it. Been trying to get one of these from the other guys the past 6 months or so who are terrible with lead times, never in stock and never email you when the next available preorder is even though the advertise that they will lol The fact that you guys seem to be in stock with most of your products and are clear on shipping times rather than a broad 3 month estimate in terms of shipping is awesome. I hope you guys come out on top with these cine rigs. So glad I found your business!
yes, it works with the A1. The smallrig cage that mounts to this fits the A1, A7R IV, a7 IV, A7S iii and A7R v. The only limitation is that the screen is blocked because the A1's screen doesn't flip out.
