I tried to watch you, quit, explaining the obvious you are exhausting you promise a recipe, and then you yammer and yammer and yammer.

My trainer gave me similar lesson on measuring for stirrup length, but its more precise than this video. If im on left side of horse, i face side of horse and pick up iron w left hand, place the tip of my middle finger on right on, on top of stirrup strap, under the little flap. Then i run strap underneath my right arm to my armipit. The length of your english stirrup is middle fingertip to armpit. Fyi, western riding length is same except add 2 holes.

How do the horses understand these languages? Are they trained to understand the cues or is it natural to them?

The most good information I’ve seen but the horse should NEVER be tied, always use a handler.
