Yes, so "2 years ago"... Disappointed, the hinge contacts failed in just under 2 years (screen does not illuminate most of the time then the earpiece eventually went out) . The phone I'm replacing it with Alcatel 406 is rather cumbersome to use. A shame I'd rather fix this but likely not worth it.
how can I copy contacts, photos, and music onto a micro SD card for someone elderly who likes this phone when this LG L125 Classic Flip phone bites the dust and no longer supported or works? Can a copy onto an external micro SD memory card be transferred to a computer for use into another phone when this is no longer serviced? TracFone says this phone can be unlocked but I had the same promo last year from hsn with 1 year of 1500 mins, 1500 texts, and 1500 mb of data that I see another person also purchased wrote here.
Today is 08/14/22. I bought this phone about a year ago from TF's website for 29.99. I had to purchase a plan from them so I could get it. They also gave me a 15% discount because my prior phone was ended with the old network. Anyway, I have a question hoping someone can help me. There is a number in my phone and it's not for VM setup. It is located at MENU-SETTINGS-ABOUT PHONE-STATUS-MIN (the # is located here). I called the number and left a message in her mailbox. I don't see anywhere that it's a refurbished phone that it may be the previous owner's number. I reset the phone twice since I bought and it's still there. Anybody have any idea WHY it's there? Please Help.
My advice for trying to fix it, after buying a new battery, and another new sim card only to NO advale it just simply is still just will work and even after 2 hour's on the phone with there advise, after that called another company "Con**** Cel**8, and being recorded only to sell me a $59 dollar phone, There just has to be a much simpler way and price for just a newer design for a"Classic" cell phone,, any and all positive comment are all welcome. In regards to checking minutes/balance as you mentioned texting 611611 usage or balance, I noticed in your video at 1:52 you show DATA 89.98MB with Service End Date instead of showing "Minutes" like the previous old Tracfone did. So my question is if you buy 120 minute PrePaid card, how would you know how many minutes you have left if the Text reply only shows you usage in MB and not minutes?
Kevin thanks for the reply! After your cool review, I bought my mother the phone to replace her previous Alcatel plus a simple Tracfone Prepaid card for 120 minutes 90 days. But when she receives her balance it also shows just like yours in MB instead of minutes, which is perplexing because as mentioned it's just a simple limited minutes only card that was used in her previous Alcatel. I assumed that Tracfone would reply with both minutes & mb.

I spent 3 hours connecting phone to computer, got an android app, could not find the LG Classic Flip phone appearing on my computer, and ended up making "duplicate" file folders that were all EMPTY when I later checked the phone after seeing nothing went into the computer but appeared with about 100 empty folders on the phone! I felt like that SNL skit!!!
It is running on AOSP 8.1. and is under android platform. I bought one yesterday and had fun with it. I would not trade this for other dumb phones. I currently have gba emulator on it and watch youtube. Having a nostalgia with old design but with updated software.
