I never subscribe or like u-tube comments BUT you have taken a weeklong headache away from me. Had no internet where I was but when I got internet started u-tubing troubleshooting battery drain and got a lot of want-a-be’s and almost gave up..your short and sweet clip with no advertisement gave me hope so I drove back to our camper and flicked the switch to off and our headaches went away. Thank you for sharing and give yourself a pat in the back for me. Love ya man. Keep up the great work. Regards Daryl
Thank you. I had the exact same problem with the exact same slide mechanism. We did exactly what you said and it fixed the problem. We were just short calling a repairman. Thanks for posting!
spray some blaster on or spray some transmission fliud on the parts, it will free up the rusty parts then spray some silicone on . maybe you can also install a rubber cover to cover that mechinism from being beaten from the elements, snow , rain whathave you, salt from the road is a big one.
A few things I noticed that is different from what I read from manuals. For the choke, you switched it back rather quickly, does this matter? Also, you said to switch the fuel valve back to on for the next time you want to start it. Shouldn’t it be left off/closed while not in use?
He operated the choke correctly. Some manuals will say slowly turn the choke off, which people take to mean wait five minutes-no. The manual is saying slowly slide the choke to off immediately after starting. Fuel valve-leave it off. This will prevent spillage and seal off the fuel tank to prevent condensation. Always try and start the generator and run it for 20 minutes a few times a month.Use non ethanol fuel if available.Use a fuel stabilizer. Most important run the generator dry of fuel when storing,it will prevent gumming up of the carb.
I believe this is exactly what my problem was went from dual 6 volts to dual 12v deep cycles and though I would check a few videos and it sure enough was on.
Okay I just turned off my defrost button on my 1983 Ford jamboree on my dometic fridge I keep having a battery died issue so hopefully that helps thank you for the tip
I can’t get my generator to start. I’ve had the carb off, it was remarkably clean but I soaked it in kerosene anyway. When I go to start, have pulled the cord hundreds of times. It may have a few seconds where it “runs” for 10 rpm then it dies. I’ve resorted to starter fluid sprayed in to spark plug and the breather. Any ideas? Anyone?
Thank you. I needed the information on the cold and hot water and closing the valve between them. Thanks yiur the 1 of 10 videos to show me that. Excuse my ignorance newbie here
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! It’s 12/22/22 and -5 degrees in Misery I mean Missouri 😂I have no heat in my RV because the furnace will NOT light ‼️ Thanks for the tips
